This is the coolest thing I've ever seen! A japanese robot which  mimics infant learning!
    Quote
The creators of the Child-robot with Biomimetic Body, or CB2, say it's slowly developing social skills by interacting with humans and watching their facial expressions, mimicking a mother-baby relationship.

possible but what would be the benefit of that? i think the japanese have the technology to build this kind of robots.. they have some other humanoids as well

OMG that is kind of freaky, i get sort of scared at the thought of in a few years you'll have these intelligent humanoids and they could easily take over us, with strength and control over the net, all electrical things, they could hack into systems and destroy everything.!!! omgggg

You don't have anything to worry about. Robots can only do what they're programmed to do, they don't have any thoughts of their own. Even if they had the social skills like feeling happiness, sorrow, etc, they would have to be specifically programmed to show their sorrow or anger by shooting human beings, and no sane person would code that into them..

Well we know there are a lot of insane people in the world who are capable too. Another thing is they are trying to create intelligent robots, that is ones which can learn for themselves as opposed to just being programmed to do things, if that happens then theres a possibility that these robots my 'interpret' things in society differently, plus robots not being flexible like us humans in thinking, they'll follow logical steps to things, e.g. 'corrupt government, need to replace' I'm thinking along the likes of i.Robot and Eagle Eye lol.

    That shit's creepy

Those dudes should be working on sexbots like any self-respecting Japanese robot engineer. Who needs creepy robot children? Sexbots!

Not to worry, though-- there is already a fail-safe in place:

A robot made me watch him change his oil. It was horrible, I had to shower myself for days and I still felt filthy afterward.
