    Forget your Layo & Bushwaka, Dave Pearce, Ibiza nonsense.  That's all commercial and so 10 years ago.  Every chav can sing along to those kinda tunes.

    There's some quality trance out there if you keep up with the scene.  This is the kinda stuff I'm talking about...

    I’m not sure where to start a conversation about trance with someone who says things like “Ibiza nonsense”. I doubt it would be a fruitful conversation for either of us.

    A & B are brilliant producers no doubt. Their melodic sounds mixed with the progressive elements lead to some epic tracks. Also the vocals of Justine Suiza are sublime too.

    By "Ibiza nonsense" I was referring to the dance tunes which to this date feature on every "Ibiza" compilation, play in your bog standard commercial club every week, and can be sung by your average chav.

    I'm not slating Ibiza per se.  How can I?  It hosts trance residencies for the biggest trance DJs in the world.

    Most of it isn't even from Ibiza. UK produces more than its fair share of cookie cutter trance.

    I'm not a "back in my day" music listener.  I've followed the genre for over 10 years and it's as good as ever.  The trance music being produced now is most certainly not mediocre, run of the mill or commercial copycat.  There's plenty of new talent and innovative tunes being produced, and I personally prefer it when trance is not popular.  I do not want the tunes I listen to on the KISS FM playlist, or anywhere near the Radio 1 top 40.

    That's my opinion anyway.
