I find very little electronic music stands the test of time, but this still gives me chills. Northern Exposure (and NE 2, imo) were revelations in Trance / Prog House with absolutely sublime mixing from Sasha and Diggers. Lost Tribe put Matt Darey on the trance map, too, if I'm not mistaken.

Gonna have to agree with you. I think it's purely nostalgia and experience that carry 'old skool' electronic tunes into recent decades. That's the nature of the beast though. Electronic music, at its heart, is state of the art music. Experimental. Innovation. Squeezing what you can out of the most current equipment. Ever-changing. The excitement and buzz of a new sound was just as much part of it as The Dance. Sure, The Dance must be appeased first and foremost. The artist must craft a tune and offer it to the Dance Gods. It must please them. But they are fickle.
