You've seen Mills right? If not rectify that posthaste. I know techno isn't the preserve of most ravers from the hardcore continuum (to quote the oft-used term of Simon Reynolds) but he's the Sun ra, (I guess) of orthodox 4x4 dance music.

Not familiar. I'll give him a listen. I love good techno. I despise hardstyle though. It makes me want to put my ears to a belt sander.

America has a real pedigree with other dance genres apart from dnb. I mean, house obviously.

Nor is that horrible funkless hardtek 180 bpm shit. Good techno is all funked up and syncopated. Jeff Mills would be the equivalent of JB in motown.
