    Found this on BBC News about Sharia law in Banda Aceh. There's an interesting girl called Nindy who says:

    The Quran can be twisted in many ways, one could argue that the only specific order in the quran about wearing hijab is in reference to the prophet....and you could deny the hadiths that sanction hijab.

    Then what's the point in the Quran or any other "holy" book. It's just stupid...If there is/are a God/ess/s (whatever) then a holy book isn't a great idea if their message can be corrupted...Why couldn't a foolproof way be found? It never made any sense to me...

    Well, you're right, but most Muslims don't want to leave Islam but they don't want to follow the Quran literally. Like most Christians I suppose, so we either support wishy-washyism or we tell them to leave Islam or become strict Muslims, I'd rather support Wishy-Washyism because it's slowly destroying Islam.

I personally know a lot of guys who brag all day about their sexual endeavors while at the same time expecting their "future wife" to be a virgin "untouched" prude until marriage who would somehow then turn out to be a kinky xxx-chromosomed beauty queen who would melt in their hands because of excessive libido.

    This is one of the things about Iraqi society that really disgust me.

    Good analysis BlackDog. There is also the issue of the hymen. While it is not the only reason males in Arab society have more freedom, I strongly believe that if there was no hymen, girls would have pre-marital sex just as much Arab guys do.

    I don't consider it a fling. And yes she's the kind if girl I would be lucky to marry. The only problem is that she's a Muslim.

    Hey hold on. I use the term HO in a totally respectful way. I love hos, and I'm complimenting these women for being sexy.

    And perhaps you missed the bit where we're (at least I am) being sort of facetious about all this?

    Of course I have no idea about a person's sexual promiscuity from their clothing. But regardless of what any guy might tell you, when they see a women dressing a certain way they WILL think "ho". No matter what. And if a guy tries to pretend to be more enlightened than that he's lying. Period.

    And I never called anyone a slut. Thats a much harsher word that actually means promiscious. "Ho" I use in a sort of light-hearted way. But I would never say "whore" either, thats also harsh and means something. To me 'ho' is cartoonish and hence you need to chill and not take me that seriously.

    Well ideally yes I would try to convince her to leave Islam. But it's not a must. The most important thing is that she's liberal and open-mind. She can remain a Muslim as long as she agrees to certain conditions.
    Firstly, I would DEFINITELY make it known that I am an atheist, that I drink, and eat pork and plan to continue to do so. I would also tell her that I don't want to raise my children in a Muslim upbringing. I do not want to indoctrinate them from early childhood. I would have no problem with her telling the children about Islam after they become more aware (14-15). I would also make it a condition that she vows to give our children total religious and intellectual freedom. I would also tell her that she should expect me to allow our children (whether a boy or a girl) to have pre-marital sex if they want to. I would also want her to vow to support our children if they turn out to be gay.

    I hope it's not too much that I'm asking for  grin12  No seriously, these are my musts. I know it's gonna scare away 99% of Muslim girls but if there was a Muslim girl (whom I already like A LOT) who is willing to go into a relationship with me then yeah why not.

    Just went to the supermarket and saw a Muslim couple - guy was a white convert to Islam and girl was south asian but she was wearing hijaab same shade of pink as in that photo above with matching super high satin pink stilettoes. He was wearing a kameez and a topi hat and sporting a beard LOL!

    Wipe out the pregnancy issue and that will probably be true. It's a shame that the hymen is even an issue when you consider that not all virgins bleed due to many circumstances.

    I think the hymen issue is more of a deterrent than the risk of pregnancy. After all, there are condoms and contraceptives and there is abortion.

    And you're right, not all virgins bleed. Some have elastic hymens. Some are born without one. Some hymens are already "ruptured". Some might lose their hymens during accidents or simply by riding a bicycle a certain way. Others don't bleed because their partners have small penises.

    Again, this is why I am sick of Iraqi/Arab/Muslim society. We still have families (although, thankfully, they are on brink of extinction) where the groom's mother go the day after the wedding night to check the sheets. Some even talk about the color and contents of the blood and how far the blood has diffused through the sheets. Seriously I'm not joking.

    When I was in Baghdad Medical School, a Forensics lecturer in the morgue showed us the corpse of a 19-year old girl whom her husband killed on the wedding night because she didn't bleed. He told us that after testing, they discovered she was indeed a virgin. He also told us that the psycho was let go out of respect to "tribal traditions".

    I finished 3 years before moving to the UK. I'm applying to medical schools in the UK and right now I'm in the process of interviews and offers. It seems that I will have to start from the 1st year which means I will graduate in my late twenties. Pretty fucked-up considering that my former colleagues are now about to graduate but then again it's my best choice.

    I don't know. I never had sex with a virgin. It's always been a strict policy of mine not to fuck a Muslim virgin regardless of the temptations.

    One more fun fact, I guess you are all with hymen restoration surgery but I bet you haven't heard this one. Some girls who are actually virgin and have never had sex in their lives are purchasing some tiny blood packs that they stuff inside their vaginas "just to to be on the safe side".
