They are making assumption that everybody who is a man is interested in sports, but I find it not more 'manly' than following Big Brother or something like that.
Hey, its not mutually exclusive - in fact its usually the opposite. I find alpha males are more likely to love sport and hate BB with a vengeance. Anyhow I dont watch any sport or read the results for that matter, but I watch Big Brother

Nah, I'm totally 100% behind you on this. In fact I know and have found lots of cerebral men (for some reason disproportionately affects atheists) who also agree with you.
Reading & learning about the world around us is far better, but being fanatically obsessed about watching football & sports is for thickies
