Why is it that to recognise that the Qur'an is a miracle from God you don't need to know Arabic, but to reject the claim it's a miracle you have to be an expert in Arabic?

Why does the human body look suspiciously like it was the result of a long cumulative process of evolution resulting in defects, imperfections and vestigial organs and genes - and not the result of the instant and perfectly planned creation of Adam and Eve?

Was 610 AD really the best point in human history for God to send his last messenger and last book to humans?

Why did God create creatures (angels) whose have no freewill, and can only worship, praise and obey him and then create other creatures (humans) who have a freewill - then demand they worship, praise and obey him - punishing him if they use the ability he gave them to refuse?

I have compiled almost 50 questions...but they are not strictly specific to Muhammad's character or Islam...they are from atheists point of view....some of them are related to Islam....but I cannot expose my website , and there is no attachment option in the forum so I could attach that

But we know the answers to these questions...? so what will be the point?

    just a thought....

My thoughtless hand has brushed away.

I too dance and drink, and sing,
Till some blind hand shall brush my wing.

Therefore I am a happy fly,

    1) Where we (or our souls) were before our birth in this world ? If we were somewhere , then,
            a) what we were doing there and why dont we remember that ?
            b) All souls were of same shape and size and age ? how come every child come into this world without any knowledge and unable to speak , think or understand. Did our souls died and reborn when we come into this world ? why ?

    2) Why Allah planned to send us in this world ? Some scholars say that Allah wanted Himself to be known so He created humans . If it’s true then what about the creations before us, like hiin ,binn and jinns ?...why Allah didn't burn hinn and binn into hellfire and why wiped them ? Why Allah is not wiping Human beings ? What made Allah think to test us ? If our souls were present somewhere before coming into this world then what made Allah send us into this world ? Why He didnt test us there ? Hinn and Binns were wiped out because of their evil deeds, it means they also had free will ....then why Human beings were made , those creations were not sufficient ?? ...or is it like Allah kept making creations with error ?

    3) Adam (A.S) had two male children, then how mankind continued without any female ? If it was like they were born in pairs of male and female and it was allowed to have sex with step sister ...then why it is not allowed now ?? ....Is it that,at that time Allah was unable to create another woman that is not their step sister ??

    4) Adam(A.S) and Hawwa (A.S) were in the heaven before coming into this world ? and they were sent to this world as a punishment for eating the forbidden fruit  ....if yes then it means we all are sent to this world as a punishment ? If they would not have eaten the fruit , we would not have been tested ? Hell was not created before sending Adam(A.S) and Hawwa(A.S) to this world ?

    1) 7:19. And "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat
from wherever you will but do not approach this tree, lest you
    be among the wrongdoers."

    2) 7:24. [Allah] said, "Descend, being to one another enemies. And
for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment
    [i.e., provision] for a time."

    3) 7:25. He said, "Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and
from it you will be brought forth."

    4) 7:27. O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed
your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and
his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.

    Okay ....now
about (1) Why Adam and His wife were sent to paradise first and not directly to earth ?
about (2) Who is who's enemy ??...Adam and His wife were also enemies of each other ?? ...or they both were enemies of Satan ..?
about (3) What is meant by "settlement" and "enjoyment" .  because earth is a place for test ?? and does it mean that if Adam and His wife would not have eaten the fruit , there would be no life and death ?
about (4) Unlike christianity we believe that Adam (A.S) and His wife were not sent to earth as punishment....but why Allah said in 7:27 that let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise ...... doesn't it show that Adam(A.S) and His wife were removed from paradise for eating the forbidden fruit and obviously as a punishment ? If not why they were sent "after" eating the forbidden fruit ?

    5) I have heard some scholars saying that Allah took promise from our souls that we will not do shirk , if it’s true then why you and me or everyone else do not remember this, and thing that we don't remember how we can be held responsible for this ?

    6) There are many non muslims or sinful muslims died in a very young age....or even if somebody died at 80 or 100 years of age ....it means he was commiting sin(including shirk) for 80 or 100 years or some less.....then why Allah will punish them forever .... is it not unjust ?

    7) Why Allah doesn't provide any signs to the non muslims or sinful (i am not talking about any book or prophet) .... any sign that can prove that yes God is one without a second....?

Cool Why Allah speaks to chosen people (Prophets) ... isn’t it unjust that people get message of Allah by other human beings ? Why Allah doesn't speaks to individual ? If I don't have any proof that Allah is there, then what is the test ? Teacher take test after teaching , but Allah didn't teach me before coming into this world.. why ? Like this anyone can come to me claiming to be a Prophet...how can i believe/disbelieve him when I don’t have any proof ?

    9) Who was iblees(satan) , jinn or angel ?  if he was an angel then how come he went against the will of Allah as angels don’t have their own will ?? If he was a jinn , then the test is not for jinns because they were before us , and were all the jinns able to see Allah and communicate with Allah , like iblees ?
    Quran 2:34.
And when We said to the angels:
     “Prostrate yourselves before ‘Adam!”
So, they prostrated themselves, all but
Iblis (Satan). He refused, and became
     one of the infidels.

Why Iblees became infidel , as he was a jinn according to scholars….. jinns were not asked to prostrate , Allah asked only angels to prostrate ?

    10) How come Iblees went against the will of Allah , when he was seeing everything with his own eyes , that there is heaven and hell etc , and he knows that he will go to Hell fire.. if Iblees would have bow down to Adam (A.S) then it means Human beings would not be taken to the wrong path by shaitaan ? What was my mistake if Iblees didnt bown down to Adam (PBUH) .... why he is allowed to take me to the wrong path?
I really didnt find anything whispered by Shaitaan .... these are just my thoughts like I think about good , similarly i think about bad.... where is Shaitaan in between ?

    11) Creator knows everything about creation and Allah SWT has the knowledge of unseen , so why He is testing us , when He knows the end result ?

    12) We know some points like "Dajjal will come","this and that will happen" ..... etc etc.......don't you think it sounds like a movie where script is already written and we are just playing our roles...now where is the test, when everything is decided before we came into this world ? When Allah knows everything then why He is testing  .... and what was the need for testing, He could have just created us and send in this world to live and let live...... why so many restrictions .... like don't listen to music etc etc......if you have heard that Bill Gates has donated half of his wealth for poor people and social work....but according to us if he die without shahadah , he will go to hell forever.........just because he didn't believe in Allah and Muhammad (PBUH)........ why Allah acts so humanly that He become angry when somebody doesn't obeys His order and happy when someone obeys Him ...? Why Allah wants everybody to believe in Him when no proof or sign is provided. ?

    13) How can a creator hates His creation so much that He will burn them in Hell fire for eternity only because they didnt believe Him or disobey him , given that He didnt provide any proof ?

    14) Why revelations are given secretly to the chosen person (Prophet) , and not to the whole world at once or atleast in public ?

    15) Allah wiped out qom-samood and qom aad .... why didn't He wiped out people (Christian and Jews , and others) before we Muslims ?

    16) There are many nude beaches around the world , there are many man and woman who commit adultery on daily basis and do many many sins .....why Allah doesn't come up and just tell the humanity that I am Allah and you should believe in Allah and Muhammad (PBUH) and follow the guidelines in Quran and the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)..........don't you think its unjust that they get the message of Allah from other Muslims and not directly from Allah .....?

    17) If we talk about test, then test is taken of something that is already taught , but we see that we are being taught in this world , it should be something like we must be taught before coming into this world and then send to this world for test so Allah can judge whether we followed his teachings or not.......when we come into this world , we don't have any knowledge about Allah and Islam .....

    18) Problems in Muslims and Non Muslims are alike. If we go to poor countries same problems are faced by Muslims and non Muslims  (like go to India,  Somaila, Ethopia etc) ...... if Non Muslims have to be burn for ever ...why they dont get relief or perfect life in this world ?? is it not unjust ?

    19) Why Allah revealed so many religions ? Is it that He kept trying to reveal a perfect religion ? Why He didn’t protect previous books like Torah , Zaboor , Injeel Huh? .....Why not only one book or religion ? ....and then Why no book after Quran ? Dont you think Allah Himself created confusions by sending toooooo many religions and Prophets ?

    20) Why Allah stopped sending Prophets after Muhammad (SAW) ?

    21) Allah raised Jesus(PBUH) alive ...and He will come to kill Dajjal ..... doesn't it sounds like Allah is fighting a war from someone and He is using us as His army ?

    22) Allah created every human being but Muslims hate jews and christians and other non muslims , similarly each religion followers hate others........ why Allah teaches us to hate others that are also His creations ?
We considered non Muslims to be filthy ...why ?? arent they creation of Allah ? .....arent they son of Adam(PBUH) ?

    23) Jews, Christians and others are our enemies....... but they are the one who made our lives easier than before ..... ....why Muslims including their scholars use the inventions of these infidels ? Is it that when our benefit is there we consider them to be our brothers (son of Adam(PBUH)) , and when our benefit is not there we hate them ?

    24) Why believers of Allah are unable to make any progress in science and technology ....... many Muslims become great doctors, engineers ... but suddenly they stop practicing their profession and join any dawah organization ...like Tableeghi jamaat.....and they say that we are now on the true path ........... people are healed by doctors but not religion  ..... inventions are made by engineers not religion preachers.......why religious people are unable to make lives of people easier..instead of just trying to make people believe what they think is right ??

    25) Isnt it that religion makes you selfish? .... because you only think to get yourself in heaven and make other people believe what you believe and without any proof , but on other side scientists think of the whole world or universe and they keep making lives of people easier ....soo what  is better , religious people or scientists Huh? Scientists are exploring the universe etc etc ...and they get what they want ... but Muslims dont even try to do any progress in this world and they keep thinking of hereafter and thus relying on inventions of Non Muslims...and spend their time preaching their religion or praying.... Scientists/Engineers do not discriminate that their research/inventions can be used by Jews or Christians or Muslim ummah ....

    26) Why miracles not happen today ? ...why is it so that people of all ages talk about miracles happening in previous ages and there are no miracles in present age.... Huh? obivously we can’t check that miracle happened or not in previous ages .....so why not Allah does some miracles and let the people know about His presence Huh? Why Allah gave Moses PBUH and Jesus PBUH the miracles that people can see, or they were able to do that in public , but Muhammad PBUH splitted moon with his finger…who saw that ??

    27) Why there are so horrible punishments for adultery(and other sins too) in Islam ? If man and woman both agree to commit adultery , why Allah gave permission to the people around them to punish them , given that woman and man are not hurting anyone ? Isnt it that Allah wants to forcefully control you despite giving you a free will and human beings are bound to get afraid of people around them instead of Allah ?

    28) Why there is a death penalty of murtad ? Who the hell are other people to kill me if I left what I believed  ? Isnt it that Muslims want other Muslims to stick to the belief forcefully, so they dont loose their strength ? What benefit will physical appearance give to a murtad when he doesnt believe from his heart ?..Allah doesnt know what is in his heart Huh?? Isnt it that we make murtads hypocrates..because of fear of death penalty ?

    29) If there is a punishment in grave then what will happen on Qayamat ? Let’s say a non believer died and according to us he will see hell fire near to him in the grave and he will get constant punishment till the day of judgement, and on the day of judgement he will be thrown into hell fire ...... why on day of judgement , when it is decided Huh?.....if a practicing Muslim died he will see heaven near him ....why not he will be entered into Jannah , when it is confirmed that he will enter Jannah at day of judgement ?

    30) What is so bad in music ? Why it is marked haraam ? What harm does it cause to anyone ? What problem Allah has with it ?

    31) If I have to believe without any proofs and logic, then how can I blame Non Muslims to be wrong ?? Non Muslims believe what they have been told , just like us , without any proofs , without using any logic ......
they also say that its our "belief" and belief is superior than any logic.

    32) When Muslims pray or think of doing something good they only think about Ummah.... similarly other religion followers think of their fellows....... but when scientists or those who doesnt believe in God think of whole of humanity when they invent something ..... like internet , internet was created by US DoD (according to us followers of dajjal) ..... but they didnt restrict to only dajjal followers ...but they benefitted Human Kind ...... I earn my income from this internet and laptop....which is gifted to me by jews and christians (infidels) ..... then how can I hate them Huh? .... WHo is better ....one who think only of his fellow beings or one who think of whole of Humanity Huh?

    33) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sent as a mercy to whole of Human Kind ....but why He cannot pray for Non Muslims after their death ?? .... so this shows He is mercy only to His followers...and not whole of Human Kind .....

    34) Why men is allowed to beat his wife , on different issues ? Majority of women esp in Pakistan , wear hijaab because of some force from their husbands, fathers and brothers ?....why the hell we dont leave woman with what they want to do ......why they are forced to follow religion not by their choice in love of Allah but by fear of their parents, husbands or brothers.... Huh??

    35) In Islam and in every other religion , it is that your sins can be forgiven by taubah (repent) ...... if I have killed 100 people (muslims and non muslims) and after few days I decided to repent.....and I seriously repented .... now according to hadiths my sins are forgiven as if i never did them .... now what about those 100 people Huh?? what about the loss I caused to the families of these people Huh?

    36) If a Muslim believer "A" killed innocent jew .... on the day of judgement Mr A is sent to hell and the jew is sent to hell too .....but according to hadiths Mr A will get out of hell after his punishment is over but that jew who didnt hurt any one , just he believed in wrong gods, will burn forever ........is it really just Huh???

    37) Why Allah want him to be praised every time .... 5 times prayers , then other prayers too .... fasting  , hajj etc etc...... why why why Huh??

    38) How can I believe that Allah loves me when He hates Non Muslims soooo much that they will be burn in hell fire alive forever and ever...... really horrible....

    39) How can Muslims say that they are believing in true God...without any proof ?? Similarly other people say their God is true and their belief is right....they say the same thing that dont use logic etc ....

    40) If we see our universe , there are planets, galaxies etc etc....all seems to be a natural process , why Allah didnt just create Earth ? ...why He was required to made all those stuff like Mars , Jupiter etc etc....

    41) Why Allah use angels for his work , when He has power over all things ? Why Allah is required to say "kun" to do something ??

    42) Hadiths mention that when we sleep at night , angels take our book(amaals) to Allah . What if I dont sleep at night ? Why every night it is required by Allah to get the book of amaals....when He can see everything and anything...??

    43) Children of Israel were given the punishment to kill each other ….. doesn’t it make Allah sounding so horrible and merciless ??

    44) If man has a lust for woman , why man is not ordered to stay at home ? If robbers are in the city then the govt or ruler will try its best to stop the robbers, govt will not ask people don’t come outta your home, then why Islam doesn’t allow woman to roam freely.

    45) We believe that Allah doesn’t require us but we need to worship Him …… why we need Him ? He Himself decided to create heaven and hell and didn’t tell about them to me…..then how can I believe that I need him ? ….If Allah doesn’t require us then why He will punish ? It can be only one thing whether He need us or will not punish us…..both of them being true at the same time is not logical….

    46) Allah says that hidayah is given by Him …then why we do dawah? In Surah Taubah where there is a war between Muslims and mushriks on breaking the peace treaty , Allah says that if they pray and pay zakaat then leave them , now it means Allah has given them hidayah …….why Allah can’t give hidayah without war Huh?

    47) Allah says that He doesn’t leads sinners to the right path ? …. Then what is the mistake of the sinner ? What is the point in leading the righteous to the right path ? ….. Imagine a teacher saying that I will only teach the students who have knowledge ……

    48) he's supposed to have created the universe out of nothing and then he gets upset if someone shaves their beard or plucks their eyebrows? Why does he need to be worshipped? None of it makes sense.

    49) Woman can’t show her face , woman can’t talk to na mahram , man can’t look at woman but practicing coitus interrupt (Al-‘Azl) is fine…having female slaves and having sex with them is fine…….. what the shit .. …. This is the respect that Islam give to a woman? Slave woman is not considered to be equally human as other women? How can you blame a prostitute, at least people are giving her money, but sex with female slave can be practiced forcefully as hadiths mention that there is no need to take permission from slave girl. Isn’t it the bad form of prostitution …….

    50) Why only Muhammad (SAW) will be on the day of judgement for shifaa of His ummah ? …why not other Prophets …whose people followed them ?

    51) What will happen to animals after they die ?? …. For them also there will be judgement ?? ….If they would be nothing after death … isn’t it possible that we human beings will be nothing after death ? … because we were nothing before coming into this world ?

It makes some think. I'm picking out a few and planning to make a vid on it.
  • Re: Hundreds of Questions to Ask a Muslim
     Reply #313 - August 21, 2011, 08:43 PM

I know the questions are immature, but I was a muslim and these questions I created myself as my pondering over such things and after reading them over and over again, I lost my faith ........

Following can be added to the questions regarding fate, destiny etc

    The Noble Qur'an - At-Tauba 9:51
Say: "Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us.  He is our Maula (Lord, Helper and Protector)."  And in Allah let the believers put their trust.

    The Noble Qur'an - Al-Qamar 54:53
And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer).

    The Noble Qur'an - At-Takwir 81:28-29
To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, And you will not, unless (it be) that Allâh wills, the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Hadith - Sahih Bukhari 4:621, Narrated Abu Huraira
Allah's Apostle   said, "Adam and Moses argued with each other. Moses said to Adam, 'You are Adam whose mistake expelled you from Paradise.' Adam said to him, 'You are Moses whom Allah selected as His Messenger and as the one to whom He spoke directly; yet you blame me for a thing which had already been written in my fate before my creation?' " Allah's Apostle   said twice, "So, Adam overpowered Moses."

Hadith - Sahih Bukhari 6:469, Narrated 'Ali
We were in the company of the Prophet   in a funeral procession at Baqi Al-Gharqad. He  said, "There is none of you but has his place written for him in Paradise or in the Hell- Fire." They said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we depend (on this fact and give up work)?" He   said, "Carry on doing (good deeds), for everybody will find it easy to do (what will lead him to his destined place)." Then he recited "As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah, and believes in the Best reward from Allah (i.e. Allah will compensate him for what he will spend in Allah's way). So, We will make smooth for him the path of ease. But he who is a greedy miser...for him, the path for evil." (92.5-10)

Hadith - Bukhari, Narrated Anas bin Malik
The Prophet   said, "Allah has appointed an angel in the womb, and the angel says, 'O Lord! A drop of discharge (i.e. of semen), O Lord! a clot, O Lord! a piece of flesh.' And then, if Allah wishes to complete the child's creation, the angel will say. 'O Lord! A male or a female? O Lord! wretched or blessed (in religion)? What will his livelihood be? What will his age be?' The angel writes all this while the child is in the womb of its mother."

Hadith - Tirmidhi and Ahmad, Narrated AbudDarda'
Allah's Messenger  said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has ordained for every servant amongst His creation five things: his death, his action, his abode, the places of his moving about and his means of sustenance.

  • Re: Hundreds of Questions to Ask a Muslim
     Reply #314 - August 22, 2011, 05:30 AM

here  is a very detailed answer from a Muslim (apologetic muslim) .... about the marriage of Ayesha and Muhammad .. anyone who can defy this or create more questions out of this

Never be shy to pose questions, as this is the only way to get the answers. The issue of the age of Aisha (r.a) is one of the most controversial issue. Non Muslim specially Christians uses it for the character assassination of our beloved Prophet (s.a.w).

Before i state any thing further, make one thing very clear in your mind that the only authentic source we have in Islam is Quran and then its practical implementation that is Sunnah. Hadith record is a great source of knowledge but in no way can be graded as authentic. Sahih Bukhari is not an exception, therefore many scholars have declared many hadiths as 'weak' or 'un authentic' with in Bukhari. For example Sheikh Naseer Uddin Albaani (r.a) have actually filter many hadiths of Sahih Bukhari and have published it. So ask any non Muslim to talk to u regarding Quran and not about the traditions which can be false. Similarly when we Muslims enquire about Christianity, we will talk about Bible and not the traditions they have.

Secondly i personally believe that the marriage of Hazrat Aisha (r.a) was based on a dream (revelation) in which Jibraeel (a.s) have given Aisha (r.a) to the Prophet (s.a.w). The wisdom behind this dream revealed after the Holy Prophet’s death. she acted as a teacher and interpreter of Islam, providing guidance to even the greatest of the male Companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. They made a special point of going to her to gain knowledge and seek her opinion. A vast number of sayings and actions of the Holy Prophet are reported from her in books of Hadith. She not only quoted his sayings and reported her observations of events, but interpreted them to provide solutions to questions. Whenever necessary, she corrected the views of the greatest of the Companions of the Holy Prophet. She made rulings and judgments on which Islamic law is based.

The following are two examples of what the Holy Prophet’s male Companions said about her:

“Abu Musa said: Whenever there was any hadith that was difficult [to understand] for us, the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, and we asked Aisha we always found that she had knowledge about that hadith.”

“Musa ibn Talha said: I never saw anyone more eloquent than Aisha.” (Trimidhi)

To establish the greatness of our mother Hazrat Aisha (r.a), please ask your Christian friend that can he give u a single example in his religion or other who played a role like that of Aisha in learning the religion from its founder and becoming the teacher and instructor of all his followers, including men, after his death?

Now come to the question of her age. There is a great contradiction of traditions in this regard. Some states 9 years, some 12, some 14, some 16, some 19 and some 21 !! ... i can not give u all examples here but to clear here is few:

the famous classical commentator of the Holy Quran, Ibn Kathir, in his book Al-bidayya wal-nihaya:

“Asma died in 73 A.H. at the age of one hundred years. She was ten years older than her sister Aisha.”

This would make Asma 28 years of age in 1 A.H., the year of the Hijra, thus making Aisha 18 years old in 1 A.H. So Aisha would be 19 years old at the time of the consummation of her marriage, and 14 or 15 years old at the time of her nikah. It would place her year of birth at four or five years before the Call (Shadi).

The compiler of the famous Hadith collection Mishkat al-Masabih, Imam Wali-ud-Din Muhammad ibn Abdullah Al-Khatib, who died 700 years ago, has also written the same.

According to a hadith in Bukhari and Muslim, Aisha is said to have joined Muhammad on the raid that culminated in the Battle of Badr, in 624 CE. However, because no one below the age of fifteen was allowed to accompany raiding parties, Aisha should have been at least fifteen in 624 CE and thus at least thirteen when she was married following the Hijra in 622 CE.

Ibn Hisham’s version of Ibn Ishaq’s Sirat Rashul Allah, the earliest surviving biography of Muhammad, records Aisha as having converted to Islam before Umar ibn al-Khattab, during the first few years of Islam around 610 CE. In order to accept Islam she must have been walking and talking, hence at least three years of age, which would make her at least fifteen in 622 CE.

Tabari also reports that Abu Bakr’s four children were all born during the Jahiliyyah (Pre-Islam Period), which has ended in 610 CE, making Aisha at least twelve in 622 CE

Have u seen the number of contradictions in this regard?? ... tell your friend that dont raise an objection which have no legs to stand upon, talk abot the message He (s.a.w) brought that is Quran.

Most of the Hadith narrations mentioning her age was nine are reported through Hisham ibn Urwa while living in Iraq, where Hisham ibn Urwa is reported to have relocated after living in Madinah for seventy-one years. It is reported in one of the most well known books on the life and reliability of the narrators of the traditions ascribed to the Muhammad reports that Yaqub ibn Shaibah said, “narratives reported by Hisham are reliable except those that are reported through the people of Iraq”. It further states that Malik ibn Anas objected on those narratives of Hisham, which were reported through people of Iraq. Another book on the narrators of the traditions of the Muhammad reports that when he was old, Hisham’s memory suffered quite badly.

For the sake of argument if we accept that She was 9 years old, this marriage is still justified for the following reasons: (i am pasting it from a website)

    (a) She reached the age of puberty.

    (b) The marriage happened 1400 ago, not today. At that time, their marriage was not considered unusual and the proof is that the enemies of Muslims at that time did not criticize this marriage. They attacked prophet Mohammad on many issues, yet they didn't criticize his marriage to Aisha.

    (c) It is possible that God wanted prophet Mohammad to marry a young girl so that she can outlive him by many years so that she can serve an important reference and resource for Muslims long after prophet Mohammad dies. As his wife, she knew more about prophet Mohammad than anyone else. A significant portion of the stories and sayings narrated about prophet Mohammad were transmitted to us through Aisha. Please note that all of Prophet Mohammad's children died during his life, except for his daughter Fatima who lived only one year after his death. This was part of the wisdom of God who did not want the leadership of Muslims to remain within the family of prophet Mohammad.

    (d) Aisha indicated that it was a great honor and privilege to be married to prophet Mohammad. If she did not marry him, she would have lived and died as an ordinary woman. She became famous and gained a special status of respect because of her marriage to prophet Mohammad.

    (e) The fact that prophet Mohammad married a 9-year old girl does not mean that we as Muslims can marry a 9-year girls today.

i hope this gave u a detailed account and may help you.

    and Allah knows the best.

bullshit. everyone agrees that Aisha was married at 6 and consummated at 9. Even Sahih Bukhari states this.

Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).
    Sahih Bukhari 7:62:64

And then the article tries to use Moral Relativism (i.e morality defers in each individual) as an excuse for Muhammad's child marrriage. This argument is flawed for 2 reasons:

    1. Morality in Islam is not Relativistic, it is Objective (i.e morality only comes from god and is immutable). So Muslims can't use Moral Relativism as an excuse.
    2. Muhammad is insan al-kamil, the perfect human being being with perfect morality. What this means is whatever he did in his life is good and permissable NOW as it was BACK THEN.

    Hi Hassan,
I hope you have been well.
I just had a question come to mind when I was reading your question about Allah creating angels without freewill then creating humans with freewill. Really my thoughts had little to do with the subject at hand except that I didn't realize that Islam taught that angels don't have freewill. This is the opposite of what the Bible teaches and may have contributed to a circular convesation I had of late. If you could please give me some references in the Qur'an and/or Hadith on this subject.
Thank you ever so much for any help.

I want to compile a list of awkward questions to ask moderate Muslims.  Questions which will make them seriously question their faith.

Or questions which will expose any Muslim who happens to practise taqqiya (not all of them do of course, but many do).

What did prophet Mohammad do for a living after migrating to Medina?

a rhetorical question.  REALLY.... WHY do you believe in Allah?

Why in the hadiths does everyone get really excited when Aisha
scrapes semen off of Mo's garment?  What kind of example is
    that for muslims?

Muhammad used to fondle Aisha during wudu?

Why did he suck on her tongue during ramadan?  Thats like
cheating during fasting, dont ya think?  And how is that
    being "spiritual" or an example?

Why did mo have a bullwhip hanging on his wall?

Why is it that to recognise that the Qur'an is a miracle from God you don't need to know Arabic, but to reject the claim it's a miracle you have to be an expert in Arabic?

Riddle of Epicurus seems to be the best tricky question to ask a muslim

"God either wants to eliminate bad things and cannot,or can but does not want to,or neither wishes to nor can, or both want to and can. If he wants to and cannot, then he is weak-and this does not apply to god. If he can but does not want to, then he is spiteful- which is equally foreign to god's nature. If he neither wants to nor can, which is the only thing for a god, where then do the bad things come from? Why does he not eliminate them?

    Quote
What will happen to animals after they die ??

    Quote
    FERROVIUS (sternly) Pray, man, pray.

SPINTHO. What's the good of praying? If we're martyred we shall
go to heaven, shan't we, whether we pray or not?

FERROVIUS. What's that? Not pray! (Seizing him again) Pray this
instant, you dog, you rotten hound, you slimy snake, you beastly
    goat, or--

SPINTHO. Yes: beat me: kick me. I forgive you: mind that.

FERROVIUS (spurning him with loathing) Yah! (Spintho reels away
and falls in front of Ferrovius).

ANDROCLES (reaching out and catching the skirt of Ferrovius's
tunic) Dear brother: if you wouldn't mind--just for my sake--

    FERROVIUS. Well?

ANDROCLES. Don't call him by the names of the animals. We've no
right to. I've had such friends in dogs. A pet snake is the best
of company. I was nursed on goat's milk. Is it fair to them to
call the like of him a dog or a snake or a goat?

FERROVIUS. I only meant that they have no souls.

ANDROCLES (anxiously protesting) Oh, believe me, they have. Just
the same as you and me. I really don't think I could consent to
go to heaven if I thought there were to be no animals there.
Think of what they suffer here.

FERROVIUS. That's true. Yes: that is just. They will have their
    share in heaven.

1- Would a true God keep 80 % humans unaware of Islam- his ‘only true religion’?

2- Was Allah Muhammad’s domestic servant?

3- Why will the creator of the illimitable Universe be so concerned about tiny humans?

4- Why didn’t Angel Gabriel reveal the Quran to all Meccans, show himself to all Arabian people?

5- Why didn’t God turn Muhammad into a scholar overnight and provide him with good stationery to record the Quran instead of relying on Muhammad’s supporters’ memory?

6- Why doesn’t God do anything supernatural today to prove that Islam is true, like rearranging stars in a way to read “Islam is true”?

7-Why doesn’t God simply show himself to the people and declare every night- Islam is true, follow Muhammad?

8-Why has God left so much ambiguity and difference of opinion among believers in Islam, where Sunnis and Shias say that the others are not ‘real Muslims’ and where different scholars interpret things so vastly differently?

9-Would a true God have allowed different versions of the Quran to crop up within 20 years of Muhammad’s death in AD 632 so that the Caliph (Successor of Muhammad) Othman who began his reign in AD 644 had to order all other versions to be destroyed and keep only one version?

10- Will God allow millions of killings in his name by misguided followers who genuinely believe that they are spreading faith in God and doing his work?

11-Why didn’t God give the Quran in all languages, or make everyone know Arabic?

12-Will God force people to accept his religion blindly and give death to those who leave it?

    For religious folk in general:

If God is the creator, what was he before he created?
What was he the God of/to what was he God?
What sparked the will to create?
Is God still perfect and unchanging if at one point he was neither creator nor god to any creation, and a stimulus must have sparkd his interest in creating?

Hang on, do the koran and Genesis have different creation stories?  In the second creation story in Genesis, adam and Eve are in the Garden of Eden which is clearly on earth, near the Tigris or something, not in Paradise away from Earth.

Which is the correct story?  Are those people who argue that the Koran is based on introductory xian texts then correct?

Mark Twain, I believe gives the best exegesis.

    Quote
The Creator sat upon the throne, thinking. Behind him stretched the illimitable continent of heaven, steeped in a glory of light and color; before him rose the black night of Space, like a wall. His mighty bulk towered rugged and mountain-like into the zenith, and His divine head blazed there like a distant sun. At His feet stood three colossal figures, diminished to extinction, almost, by contrast -- archangels -- their heads level with His ankle-bone.

When the Creator had finished thinking, He said, "I have thought. Behold!"

He lifted His hand, and from it burst a fountain-spray of fire, a million stupendous suns, which clove the blackness and soared, away and away and away, diminishing in magnitude and intensity as they pierced the far frontiers of Space, until at last they were but as diamond nailheads sparkling under the domed vast roof of the universe.

At the end of an hour the Grand Council was dismissed.

They left the Presence impressed and thoughtful, and retired to a private place, where they might talk with freedom. None of the three seemed to want to begin, though all wanted somebody to do it. Each was burning to discuss the great event, but would prefer not to commit himself till he should know how the others regarded it. So there was some aimless and halting conversation about matters of no consequence, and this dragged tediously along, arriving nowhere, until at last the archangel Satan gathered his courage together -- of which he had a very good supply -- and broke ground. He said: "We know what we are here to talk about, my lords, and we may as well put pretense aside, and begin. If this is the opinion of the Council -- "

"It is, it is!" said Gabriel and Michael, gratefully interrupting.

"Very well, then, let us proceed. We have witnessed a wonderful thing; as to that, we are necessarily agreed. As to the value of it -- if it has any -- that is a matter which does not personally concern us. We can have as many opinions about it as we like, and that is our limit. We have no vote. I think Space was well enough, just as it was, and useful, too. Cold and dark -- a restful place, now and then, after a season of the overdelicate climate and trying splendors of heaven. But these are details of no considerable moment; the new feature, the immense feature, is -- what, gentlemen?"

"The invention and introduction of automatic, unsupervised, self-regulating law for the government of those myriads of whirling and racing suns and worlds!"

"That is it!" said Satan. "You perceive that it is a stupendous idea. Nothing approaching it has been evolved from the Master Intellect before. Law -- Automatic Law -- exact and unvarying Law -- requiring no watching, no correcting, no readjusting while the eternities endure! He said those countless vast bodies would plunge through the wastes of Space ages and ages, at unimaginable speed, around stupendous orbits, yet never collide, and never lengthen nor shorten their orbital periods by so much as the hundredth part of a second in two thousand years! That is the new miracle, and the greatest of all -- Automatic Law! And He gave it a name -- the LAW OF NATURE -- and said Natural Law is the LAW OF GOD -- interchangeable names for one and the same thing."

"Yes," said Michael, "and He said He would establish Natural Law -- the Law of God -- throughout His dominions, and its authority should be supreme and inviolable."

    ....

About what will happen to animals:

In my early days as a Muslim, I attended a lecture during which the Imam talked about the fate of animals. He explained it this way: on the day of judgment, all of the animals will be judged at once. If any were wronged, whether by another animal or by a human, then it will receive its justice. After that they will all be "turned to dust" -- i.e. disintegrated, cease to exist, etc.

So no animals in heaven, or hell for that matter sheikh
