    yep, I always thought he was brilliant at interviews and winning people onto his side - pretty smart on the whole, I suppose thats how he got to lead his party.  He has that special empathetic ability.  He won 2 elections, despite consistent attempts to overthrow him.  Always thought he was a great orator/communicator always preferred him to Brown

    What I like about these intellectuals is their coolnes, they are totally calm and at ease when they speak. Unlike certain mullahs that use emotional pleas and inflictions when speaking. Tariq Ali especially comes to mind.

    If you are interested in cold reading then yes? This type of intellectual conning.

    You can imagine the trouble a man could do with cold reading the in the middle-east. Like a really talented one. If anybody gets any ideas please don't these people are fucking horrible. On the very least call the bluff if you do it.

    No offense Islame but afaic Tony Blair is a religious slime ball and an anti-intellectual par excellence.

    World religions are threatened by forces both from within themselves and from the wider world, said Tony Blair, the former British Prime Minister, today.

    “We face an aggressive secular attack from without. We face the threat of extremism from within.”

    Arguing that there was “no hope” from atheists who scorn God, he said the best way to confront the secularist agenda was for all faiths to unite against it.

    I will never understand how somebody like him was able to or even wanted to become a leader of a formally leftist party.

    Me too, if he had not been a theist, he would have rivalled Portillo for the top spot. The travesty for me, and the thing I could never really come to understand, was how could someone so clever but such a strong theist.

    he used to be an MP, and now talks about politics.. if you youtube his name you might find one of his Dinner with Portillo political discussions (although from your posts I doubt you are into politics)

    I can tell when a guy is good looking, but I'm not attracted. But I can see why others (men and women) are attracted. I think I remember Tom Cruise had a perfect 1:1.618 ratio face.
