... LOTS of wine, plus smoking a doobie with the bride's mother behind the bathrooms.    grin12

That's brilliant. I want to go to a wedding like that.

This is a celebrity wedding and the 2 (groomsmen?) guys on the left show up looking like movers.
WTF? Why would they be in the picture?

I think we may have discussed this, but incase it was not, what is a Muslim wedding like? Also, when I mean Muslim wedding, I mean the orthodox wedding, not the one with almost all culture and little Islam in it. I read a website talking about do's and don'ts for Islamic weddings, and as expected, most if it was don'ts. Can you guys tell me what its like and your opinion on it?

I think weddings are one area where the orthodox/traditionalists get told to STFU!  grin12

    lol.

Do you think your daughter will have an orthodox strict sunni wedding? Or more of a cultural wedding. I'm hoping its the latter.

I went to one religious Sufi wedding last year, and after the Nikah and before the food, they all started doing a group Dhikr! That pissed me off, I was starving!

I went to my cousin's Big Fat Jewish wedding in New York a few years ago...  I was pissed every night and my parents had to literally carry me back to the hotel.  I was still married at the time so whilst I was apart from hubbie I let it all hang out!

My relatives in NYC certainly know how to have a good time.

I think the only other wedding I ever enjoyed was a friend who got married in a vinyard... LOTS of wine, plus smoking a doobie with the bride's mother behind the bathrooms.    grin12

Btw, your experience sounds like an Irish marriage lol

Btw, could someone explain to me the whole 'shooting in the air' and females going 'lalalalalalalala' that I see Arabs do at weddings?

If I had a time machine I would go back in time and kill Muhammad before he could have any delusional ideas; worse case scenario several hundreds year later it would still remain the ass crack wedged between two great empires but at least there would be no terrorism emanating out of the place.

That's a very famous folkloric Iraqi song. My guess is this a diaspora Iraqi wedding, probably Christian.

paki weddings are surprisingly normalish, i mean there's music, there is minimal dancing (more like performances actually), there's no segration or anything of the sort. it would be better if there was alcohol
