well that song mutated in to different fields ..different people sing with different tunes ... but that "Jeevay Jeevay Pakistan'  was written  in London in 1971" By Mr. Nawabzada Mirza Jamiluddin Ahmed Khan also known as Jamiluddin Aali, was a renowned Pakistani poet.  I am not sure whether they were really bad times but they were bad times for so-called Islamic Faith Laced patriotic brains  of the country ..Country Split in to Bangladesh and whatever left  ....

any ways  Nawabzada Mirza Jamiluddin Ahmed Khan

    Quote
Nawabzada Mirza Jamiluddin Ahmad Khan was born to a literary family in Delhi, India on 20 January 1925. His father Amiruddin Ahmed Khan was Nawab of Loharu and his mother Syeda Jamila Baigum was direct descendant of Khwaja Mir Dard and was the fourth wife of Amiruddin Khan ..

Aali was elected as the member of the Senate for a six-year term with support of Muttahida Qaumi Movement.[3] Aali wrote many books as well as songs. He wrote the song "Jeevay Jeevay Pakistan" during 1965 Indo-Pak war which became popular. The song was sung by Shahnaz Begum and was released on August 14, 1971. In International Women's Year (1976), he wrote the song "Hum Maain, Hum Behnain, Hum Baitiyan". Aali also wrote a song "Jo Nam Wohi Pehchan, Pakistan" at the request of for Ghulam Ishaq Khan in 1986. He was also writer of the song "Mera Inam Pakistan" by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Now looking at the  country and looking at his party that elected him 4 or 5 times to Assembly.,I wonder about his thoughts on Land of Pure ...

Often when I think about Patriotism ... these thoughts float into the brain  ..

If you add Islam the faith(for that matter any faith) and Patriotism  together to make  a nation  then one time or other time the people of such countries will suffer..

ISLAM THE ARAB IMPERIALISM  by Anwar Shaikh.

Indeed what Anwar Shaikh said long time ago is a fact .,  Let me slightly modify that keeping  Quran  and alleged Prophet of Islam  in mind  ..

Irrespective of what Quran says and irrespective of the FIRST PREACHER OF  ISLAM  Muhammad life style.,  who died much before Quran became a book and Islam became a faith based war mongers.,    Islam is Arab imperialism of 8th century and the real followers of the faith would love to take back all humanity into that 8th century and force the folks live like 8th century desert dwelling Arab nomadic fools....

]Sharmeen Obaid's first immersive installation hopes to transport you back to 1947 Partition era[/size]
Take a trip down memory lane with #HOME1947 which will display photography, sound, short documentaries and installations ..  The human experience of a mass migration remains mostly unknown to generations of people born after Pakistan came into being. We've only heard stories or maybe read a personal account or two circulating on social media.

Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's latest interactive exhibition is set to just change that.

The two-time Academy Award-winner is set to premiere her first immersive experiential exhibition, HOME1947, at the Manchester International Festival (MIF) 2017. Chinoy will also be the first Pakistani film-maker to debut her project at MIF this 2017.

As the refugee crisis continues to affect millions across the world, HOME1947 shows the audience, partition not through the words of historians and politicians, but through the eyes of those who lived through it.

This exhibition collects stories from people who left their homes and crossed borders during the 1947 partition of the Indian subcontinent. It is based on exploring what the concept of home meant to them......

well  there is more at that link  and let me watch on what  Sharmeen  says on her documentary

Pakistani capital Islamabad 'under siege' over blasphemy row  says news of today

    Quote
Supporters of an Islamist cleric have blocked a main entrance to the capital since last week, demanding the resignation of the country's law minister over a blasphemy row. Shah Meer Baloch reports from Islamabad. "Our sole demand is the authorities act against those members of parliament who amended the constitutional clause related to the 'finality' of Prophet Muhammad," Hafiz Ullah Alvi of the hardline Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan party told DW.
The controversy erupted in October, when the government amended electoral laws, including the wording of an oath for lawmakers that dealt with a declaration of Prophet Muhammad as god's final prophet. After protests from religious groups, the government restored the oath in its original form.
"The government said it was a clerical error. We don't  think it was the case. It was done deliberately by the West's agents, who are also members of our parliament," Alvi said.

     That is today's news...

well  those 5 demands look much simpler than  what Pakistan present Gov forced to sign

    https://www.dawn.com/news/1373182/tly-chief-khadim-rizvi-orders-followers-to-end-sit-ins-across-country-after-govt-gives-in-to-demands

    it says

The government has agreed to the following demands of Tehreek-i-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLY) in order to end the sit-in, according to a document circulating among journalists bearing signatures of the protest leaders and Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, among others.

    Quote
    1.  Remove Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid from his position immediately. "Tehreek-i-Labaik will issue no fatwa [religious decree] of any kind against him."

    2.   The report prepared by Raja Zafarul Haq-led committee will be made public within 30 days and whoever is named in the report for being responsible for the change in the election oath will be acted against under the law.

    3.   All protesters arrested between November 6 until the end of the sit-in from across the country will be released within one to three days according to legal requirements. The cases registered against them and the house arrests imposed on them will be ended.

    4. An inquiry board will be established to probe and decide what action to take against the government and administration officials over the operation conducted by security forces against protesters on Saturday, November 25. The inquiry should be completed within 30 days and action will be taken against those found responsible.

    5.  The federal and provincial governments will determine and compensate for the loss of government and private assets incurred from November 6 until the end of the sit-in.

    6. The points already agreed to concerning the Government of Punjab will be fully implemented.

The document ends by crediting Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and his representative team for their "special efforts" that led to the agreement being signed.

"We are thankful to him [Gen Bajwa] for saving the nation from a big catastrophe," the document concludes.

Besides the interior minister, the document bears the signatures of TLY leader Khadim Hussain Rizvi, Interior Secretary Arshad Mirza, two other protest leaders and Maj Gen Faiz Hameed, who facilitated the agreement.

In addition to the above, the following demands of TLY have also been accepted by the government, according to Khadim Hussain Rizvi:

    Quote
A board of clerics led by Pir Muhammad Afzal Qadri will be set up to probe remarks made by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah against the persecution of Ahmedis. Sanaullah will have to accept the decision made by the board.

No difficulty will be faced in registering cases under clause 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code (blasphemy law)

No leniency will be given to those convicted by courts for blasphemy

No ban will be imposed on the use of loudspeakers

The foreign and interior ministries will take steps for the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui after taking her mother and sister in confidence

The holiday of Iqbal Day on November 9 will be revived

Two representatives of Tehreek-i-Labaik will be included in the panel assigned to decide changes in the textbook board. The officials will push for inclusion of translation of the Holy Quran and chapters about Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and Muslim leaders.

The chehlum of martyrs will be held on January 4 at Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh

Every year, November 25 will be observed as "Martyrs of Prophet's honour day"

State surrendered to sit-in protesters, observes Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD: Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) remarked on Monday that the state of Pakistan surrendered to the sit-in protesters at Faizabad.

Workers of a religious party had been protesting against the government at Faizabad Interchange of the capital for around three weeks, bringing the capital to a standstill for over 20 days.

Hearing the case, petitioned by ordinary citizens and the religious group, Justice Siddiqui observed that the state kneeled before the protesters and not a single clause of the agreement between the government and the religious group is according to the Constitution.

“We have to see the legal standing of this agreement,” Justice Siddiqui noted.

News  from Dawn  says  In talks with IMF, Pakistan agrees to depreciate rupee

    Quote
ISLAMABAD: Amid a policy decision on Friday to allow rupee depreciation, Pakistan and an International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation concluded the first round of discussions on the country’s economy. Now members of the IMF delegation and Pakistan team are taking a two-day break to prepare for the policy-level wrap-up by Dec 13-14.

A senior official told Dawn that the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) would now let the currency exchange rate to adjust to market conditions after many months, rather years, of resisting expectations. The timing of the move was planned for Friday to ensure materialisation of $2.5 billion worth of receipts from two international bonds launched last month.

This calculated move allowed the currency rate to touch Rs110 to a dollar on Friday before settling down at around Rs107 and did not go beyond official estimates. The two weekend holidays would give a breathing space instead of over-steaming the exchange rate................

Jamsheed Veeri  Marker  ( b. 24 November 1922), is a veteran Pakistani diplomat. He is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as having been "ambassador to more countries than any other person". He speaks English, Urdu, Gujarati, French, German and Russian, and was Pakistan's top envoy to the United States and more than a dozen other countries for more than three decades and earned the distinction as the "world's longest-serving ambassador".
    Quote
Ambassador Marker is the son of Kekobad Ardeshir Marker and Meherbano Pestonji, the grandson of Ardeshir Marker, and the great-nephew of Peshotanji Dossabhai Marker. He is currently married to Arnaz Minwalla.[15][16] He was earlier married to Diana Faridoon Dinshaw (d. 1979) with whom he had two daughters, Niloufer and Feroza.[17] His niece is the Pakistani environmentalist, Aban Kabraji. His background is from the Parsi community of Pakistan.

Coming from a lucrative shipping business background with its offices in Keamari, Karachi, he kept his interest in the game fresh even when he roamed the world as Pakistan’s ambassador and high commissioner in more countries than any other diplomat in the world did before him and after.

well let me read his words  at to day's   dawn  https://herald.dawn.com/news/1153709/indians-were-furious-we-managed-to-secure-the-americans-first-jamsheed-marker

Interesting Questions from Syed Jaffar Ahmed

    Quote
Indians were furious we managed to secure the Americans first: Jamsheed Marker

Ahmed:   A number of books have come out in the last 15 years or so that talk about Pakistan as a failed or failing state. After such a long and rich experience of living in Pakistan, how do you see its future?

Marker: During the creation of Pakistan, there were doubts whether the state would come into existence at all. I remember a party one evening at New Delhi Club where a group of people – Hindus, Muslims and Europeans – were arguing fiercely and plenty of whiskey was flowing around. This was sometime in July 1947. The subject was ‘how long Pakistan will last — six months or six years’. I heard [someone] saying, ‘They will come back begging to us within three months, asking us to take them back.’ Now that was the attitude of a lot of people. We had nothing. When I say nothing I mean minus, zero. It was just the iron will of this man [Muhammed Ali Jinnah] who really put this country out. He said, ‘There is no need to get scared; we will survive.’

From Delhi, I came to Karachi. As I was driving [from the airport to the Cantt railway station], I saw those refugee camps. People in them were all bloodied. They had been through riots. They had no clothes or anything, just small broken-up suitcases. [But] you heard them shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ from each refugee camp. The situation was such where you couldn’t be happy. You’d see children in their bloodied clothes crying and mothers on the roads yelling. But those people had unbelievable passion — all because of this one man. They were determined to survive any situation.

Ahmed: If Ziaul Haq promoted religious fundamentalism, why do you give him credit for good things?

Marker:  One good thing, for which I give him credit for more than any other, is that he stood up to the Americans on the nuclear issue. Pakistan was playing in the hands of the Americans and had agreed to become the front line state vis-a-vis Afghanistan. It was either the sagacity of Ziaul Haq or the Americans preferred to overlook it, but that enabled us to complete the nuclear plant. It was Ziaul Haq’s determination to take whatever the Americans would throw at him as long as he could [continue work on the plant]. The Americans were in no way going to kill us for that.

Ahmed: There is a narrative that flows from Quaid’s August 11 speech — that the state will have nothing to do with religious affiliations of the citizens. Then there is another narrative that flows from Ziaul Haq — that takes us to a theocratic Pakistan. Where do you think the future lies?

Marker: I think it’s one of Pakistan’s greatest misfortunes that we have been forced into this fundamentalist mindset. Now if we’re talking in terms of democracy, you have to accept that we are being driven by the force [of popular will]. If we reject it, that will mean a conflict. There has to be popular consent. And I fear we are losing the battle [for that]. We are taking these poor people to the wrong path. [We should take them] towards the secular part of the narrative.

As the year draws to an end, Dawn.com looks back at major incidents of terrorism that took place in 2017.

An overview of these attacks paints a grim picture of the state of security in the country. Despite the launch of two major military operations this year — country-wide Raddul Fasaad and Khyber 4, which focused primarily on Rajgal Valley —

the South Asian Terrorism Portal reports at least 484 civilians and 145 security forces' personnel were killed in various incidents of terror across the country.
    Quote
A total of at least 400 people were killed in the major terror attacks this year which are highlighted in each of the tabs in this report.

The majority of the attacks in this report targeted security forces, not civilians. Jamaatul Ahrar this year declared open season on security forces, threatening a nationwide campaign targeting civil and armed forces, judiciary, media and political parties.
    Quote
Interestingly, attacks orchestrated by the militant Islamic State (IS) had the greatest number of casualties this year, despite top civil and military officials' repeated denial of their presence in the country.

IS-claimed attacks took the lives of 160 people. Jamaatul Ahrar-claimed attacks killed 104. The Lashkar-e-Jhangvi al-Alami only claimed two attacks this year — both in Parachinar — and killed 92.

Another interesting takeaway from the data is that although the TTP claimed the greatest number of attacks, the combined death toll came to 79. Their attacks mostly targeted security forces and law enforcement personnel and, although high in frequency, took fewer lives than those carried out by other groups.

Claims of responsibility for major attacks in 2017.
With respect to the pie chart above, it is pertinent to note that two of the attacks were claimed by two groups each — Lashkar-e-Jhangvi al-Alami (LeJ-A) and TTP jointly claimed responsibility for an attack on Parachinar's Sabzi Mandi; Jamaatul Ahrar and IS both claimed responsibility for an attack near the Balochistan police chief's office in Quetta.

Tragically, the largest proportion of victims of terrorism were killed in attacks on places of worship this year.

    ATTACK ON  PLACES OF WORSHIP

1).  Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine, Sehwan

The deadliest incident of terrorism this year — claiming more than 88 lives — was a suicide attack targeting the crowded Sufi shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sindh's Sehwan Sharif on February 16. The attack was claimed by the militant Islamic State group.

    2.  Attack on Parachinar Imambargah, Kurram Agency

PARACHINAR: The Shia community of this small town on Friday suffered twin tragedy when at first 23 people were killed in a car bomb blast near an Imambargah at midday and later another person died after security forces opened fire on a crowd trying to hold a demonstration in front of the political agent’s office in protest against increasing terrorist attacks.

    3.   Pir Rakhel Shah shrine, Jhal Magsi  21 people  killed

QUETTA / DERA MURAD JAMALI: A suicide attacker blew himself up at the entrance to the shrine of Pir Rakhyal Shah in the Fatehpur area of Jhal Magsi district on Thursday, killing at least 19 people and injuring over 30 others.

This is the second attack at the shrine, located some 350km east of Quetta in the Nasirabad division. In March 2005, over 50 people were killed and more than 70 injured in a bomb blast on the shrine premises.

All  of those who  are dead and 1000s  who suffer because of  these brutal ROGUES OF ISLAM  are also Muslims...   Off course they are Shia Muslims..  Quranic Muslims with some silly beliefs.,   whereas those rogues of Islam who kill Muslims for their Islam  are  Hadith Muslims..  that is the difference..
