Niqabis are the minority but they are increasing. I was about to be one. I see many where my family lives. They are multiplying fast! The US is changing and if you allow this madness, you'll see your whole neighborhood changing. Where my family lived was normal. Now, it looks like Saudi. I see niqabis in the mall and Walmart. It looks scary to be honest.

The niqab should be banned everywhere. It is a violation of human rights. Furthermore as I said in my video, it is not even in the qur'an so please don't tell me it is freedom of speech and we should respect your religion and this and that.

If you allow one thing, they will ask for more and more. And then we'll wake up in the United Islamic States of Amrika.

I just love how people think the only solution to everything is to BAN THIS and BAN THAT!

The unlived life is not worth examining.

Should we ban the Qur'an then? Afterall, if we allow one thing, they will ask for more and more, and currently we're allowing them the Qur'an...

Of course people should be allowed to walk around naked but as far as I am concerned businesses have the right to serve whoever they please and private property do not need to allow them entry.

Anyone should be able to wear what they wish in public.
I could give a f*ck if someone walked around decked out in Nazi uniform with Hitler on the T Shirt denying the holocaust. That is freedom and it says something to me about the weakness of a society if they cannot handle it and must ban it.
And Government should never limit it. I've said it once and i'll say it again. The dangers to society are not Muslims, terrorists or not or anyone else. But fascists who support limiting Europe's hard won freedoms.

For those who support any form of limitations on freedom of expression in public in Europe. I do hope they also support Muslim countries limiting other peoples freedoms in other countries. "Because Government has the right to do it"  Afro

So moving about naked in public, should be allowed without caveats?

It should be restricted to certain designated areas, same with other forms of dress codes and costumes.

Agreed but opposing individual rights come into play.

Then doesn't it restrict my freedom to wear whatever I want[in this case 'nothing'] in a public place?
Why should I bother about the effects it has on other people? I don't intend to harm them.Just because some innocent children get scandalized by my nudity should my freedom be curtailed by the state?

Do I have to put up with ugly, fat people walking about naked in front of me?  What about my rights?

This is where opposing individual rights occur then again businesses have the right to refuse to serve you and good for them and similarly if parents are scandalized they can buy property and refuse you access. Once again, within their rights.

I'd like to not see fat naked guys but if someone wishes to wear something (or not in this case). My rights does not supersede theirs.

No seriously, why should I for one have to go outside the street and see the fat old woman who lives nearby in the buff?  She might not be hurting me, but I find it quite stomach turning..  Why should I have to put up with it?  What is wrong in limiting those things to designated areas?

Non sequitur.  I am talking about lack of clothes not excess.  How and to what extent you choose to cover yourself is another subject.  Although now that you mentioned it, I definitely would not have minded that scenario either.

This law is discriminatory. Plain and simple.
France already is on tense terms with its Muslim community with accusations of biased and unfair targeting
What has now happened is people have basically taken a sector of the populace that is already feeling outside of the mainstream and made rules specifically aimed at their exercise of religion.

I hope you support Muslim countries limiting other groups freedom of expression. If you do support it, at least you get points for consistency.

State intervention on this? No thank you.

Why are you discriminating against 'lack of clothes'?
It's my right to be naked! If the state deems it's not  allowed then it's infringing on my rights to choose my mode of dressing, in this case: no dress at all. If at all  restrictions on what you can wear is location specific then it's only fair that all choices are affected . Moreover who decides on the restrictions?
