You're right I've been meaning to get one - I just seem to never get round to it (and not sure where I'd put it)

finmad I am mad with my brother, he is just helping himself to my stuff without asking, not even openly but sneaking.

He has been through my numerous handbags I know because the ear piece to my mobile phone was in there and now it isn't finmad, he has helped himself again to my mobile phone and my son's sim card, without even fucking asking permission.

This is going to be a very short lived stay with me if he doesn't mend his ways sharpish, I'm not in the mood for this fucking shit right now, I HATE people invading my privacy, touching my things and showing no respect whatsoever.

My other brother was no way near this bad, my other brother tried bless him, to be helpful at times, and never rifled through my things like this.

I want him out, infact when he gets back this evening I am telling him that tomorrow morning he can go back to my step mother who still wants to beat him.

    Family.  finmad

Honestly Dio, I am fit to bursting with anger right now, I loathe people who have no regard for the privacy of others, or who sit there and lie to my face when it's not even reasonable to lie, which he did yesterday, and as with all liars they eventually trip themselves up because they can't remember all the lies they told.  finmad

None of the nice he has done can make up for what I feel are his biggest offences against me and what I value ethically.  He has betrayed me.  Once I had the patience of a saint, believing I could give forgiveness and second chances again and again to even the vilest of people, but my patience is non existant now, he has fucked up and can fuck off.

This is my house, my cave, my sanctuary.  It's my right to leave my purse on my dressing table and not have to stress about it being lifted, or have to hide every single stealable thing.  finmad

Of course you are right - it´s your right to expect that he respects your private sphere and your property. No ifs or buts.
Giving him second chances is okay... but he ought to learn. Sending him back to mummy might be the right thing to do.
If you feel you are up to it, you can tell him, you WILL send him, if he does it again...and if he already WAS given a fair warning - back to mummy he goes.

That would have been my normal reaction, to give him fair warning, but I honestly don't see the point anymore.  He already knows what he is doing is wrong, because he does it sneakily without any honesty, he has to hide it, but he has chosen to do it anyway.  This shows me something about his character, and I also know it would fail on him, there is only shallowness there.

your anger is understandable and justified berbs, his actions are beyond contempt, to treat you this way after taking him in when he needed it is dispicable, rude, shallow and shows a lack of respect. I think you are right in sending him back to his mums.

Could his mother's violent and dangerous temper be the reason that he has become accustomed to underhand behaviour?  Not making excuses, btw, just wondering.  He is only 17 after all, and according to Berbs, not that mature for his age.

  • Re: Berbs Blog, much madness within

Well, I was thinking that his own doorstep is where he is most used to 'shitting', ie, sneaking things without asking.  Because its at home that he is most likely to get battered if he asks out loud when his mother's in the wrong mood.

Good point Cheetah. Quite likely you're right, but he has to learn fast that you don't behave like that when someone does give you a fair go.
