    I'm not saying only whites deserve to live a la nazi germany, just that there should be a limit of some sort on crakheads and junkies being able to have baby after baby that the state has to care for, that cost much more in medical care, it's just so heartbreaking how many kids that no one wants are a result of some junkie who cared more about a fix than her kids.

    Which leads me onto why don't they make adoption easier for people who are willing to care for these babies?

    Why do white couples insist on a white baby only, whats wrong with having a black baby?  or a mixed race baby, isn't a baby a baby, and if your childless isn't any baby ok?

    I repeat - do I, you, the state or whoever have the right to cut her tubes? "Insert a coil"? Yeah, why waste money on no-count losers? On comatose elderly? Why give my hard-earned tax-euros to those who don´t give anything back? The PRINCIPLE is the same, whether it´s about jews (or alcoholics, "habitual criminals", roma) in Nazi Germany, or crack-addicts anywhere else.
    Adoption is hard in the interest of kids... there is NO problem to find adoptive parents for ANY kind of baby - leastways, not in Germany, and not if the baby is healthy - there are about 50 couples for every child that gets put up for adoption. Trouble is, that there aren´t enough babies to go round, and nobody wants the older ones, the handicapped ones... all want a cuddly, healthy newborn.

    Because I say I think crackheads shouldn't be able to drop baby after baby like it means nothing, does NOT mean the comatose, the elderly blah blah came into MY ramblings at all.

    Just for once it would be nice to discuss my thoughts without nazi germany being tossed in, and slippery slope extras thrown ontop.

    Berbs, this is not slippery slope - it´s about PRINCIPLE. What right does the state have to cut anyone´s reproductive organs? Tell me? How do you propose "setting a limit" to the number of children anyone has? Sterilization? Force-feed them birth-control pills? Force-kill the baby in utero? Kill the unwanted brat once she popped it? What?

    You ARE talking about eugenics - which HAVE been done, not only in Nazi-Germany, but much, much longer in sweden, norway, denmark, the US... and to this day, in China.

    Then she would be committing criminal acts, and, she could face the consequences of her actions. Welfare allows her to live in stupor, consequence-free.

    You know as a muslim the answer to the all the social ills of the world were through Islam (yes I know it's a myth, but it was an answer), but now I have no idea what will fix the worlds ills, and I am frustrated at not knowing.  wacko

    NOTHING will "fix" the world. Doesn´t mean, we shouldn´t strive to make it better, any way we can... but accepting, that we´ll never create paradise. Every single time we try, we end up in a worse mess...

    That's much of the right/left divide, actually. If not most of it.

    The "Left", generally speaking, believes that our life on earth can be perfected. The right, generally speaking, believes that human nature and constraints being what there are, a half-decent society is about the best we can hope for.

    Original sin in nuce means, we see human nature as "fallen", i.e. we are not perfect, not capable, of our own, to live perfectly, be completely good. We accept that, trusting in God´s grace to help us get better, since we cannot MAKE ourselves better. Doesn´t mean, we don´t keep trying.
    In other words - we know, this world, which is largely made by us, can NEVER be a paradise (and that gets told in the story of how Adam and Eve get thrown out of paradise, with an angel guarding the gate. There´s no way back, once you eat of the fruit of the tree of good and evil... you KNOW, thus you are not an innocent animal - we are capable to DO BAD, and pay the price).
