Ok, I have sorta finished the Mk 2 version of our mobile theme.

This is only good for smart phones. If you have an old dumb phone you're plum out of luck.  parrot

    Relevant points are:

1/ Five colour options, if you're daft enough to want them.  dance Changer is in the info centre at the bottom of the main page.

2/ Clicking the middle of the footer will shoot you back to the top of the page. This works on any page.

3/ Clicking the arrow icon at the right end of the main menu bar takes you to the bottom of any page.

4/ Some functions are missing. Print, ignore, and social bookmarks are not available. The shoutbox will be added soon.

5/ Templates have been redesigned so most of them are cool. Profile template still gets a scroll bar sometimes.

Give it a run and see what you think. Any suggestions for improvements are welcome. Afro

You can select it permanently in your Profile > Look and layout, or on a per session basis by using the theme changer at the bottom of our left column.

Alternatively, you can change to it by using the direct link here: Omega_Mobile theme

It's there. You can get it in the info centre, or under the Bookmarks button in the main menu.

You dont think it should be on the front page - dont know about the majority of users, but the first thing I select is replied posts, rather than clicking on an item from the index.

Also How do I get it out of this ruddy simple mobile phone mode so I can use it for my laptop (I click on your link below and I dont know how to change it!)

how about having it permanently expanded?

    otherwise works really well!

Well I was trying to keep clutter to a minimum. Anyway if you want to go back to a standard theme use this:

    Site default theme.

That will reset you to the site default.

K, next version is up with some added tweaks.

Posts have been rearranged so they look better. Avatars resize to 63x75 (50% of maximum size). Images in posts are restricted to 290x290 and if bigger will be resized to those proportions (square). I'll see if I can sort a more accurate resize function later.

The quick reply now expands and collapses by clicking anywhere in the header bar, so you don't have to target the actual icon or text for that function.

Shoutbox is now available just below the main menu. This can also be expanded or collapsed by clicking anywhere in the header bar.

    Info centre header bar ditto.

In Profile and Messages sections the sidebar menu for your options now collapses and expands to save space. Yes, there is a header bar and guess what you can do with it? Cheesy

Note that this uses the same javascript as the shoutbox collapse (trying to save js here Tongue), so if you go into Profile when the shoutbox is not open the menu will also be collapsed. Click bar = all sorted.

Fixed a few other things too. Give it a whirl and see what you think. I'm particularly interested in what is or is not useful. Also if anything too small or too big? Stuff like that.

I tried it on my smart phone, but wasn't thrilled by it. Still have to drag left and right to adjust screen. Why don't you detect from the request if it is a smart phone, just change it to smart phone theme?
