     OP - March 11, 2010, 03:38 AM

Mine would be pork, then followed by lamb, then beef, then venison, then duck, then turkey and chicken tied.

    fuck you

    LAMB!  Phwoar

    After that I like:

    Goat
    Pork
    Beef

Honestly, its usually a function of the fat content. Lamb is so delicious but its really unhealthy on a regular basis. And of course the cut can matter a lot. Beef can vary immensely based on cut alone.

And also.. pork I'm a bit new too. So it could beat out Goat for second place one day.

    Fuck! I forgot goat.

Usually, but not always or entirely. Many pork products of course tend to have a higher fat content, but the fat itself tastes different. I think pork fat is tastier than beef fat. I'd rather have baked beans with bacon and sausage than fatty ground chuck and suet.

And venison's quite delicious even though it has a very low fat content-- this often means you have to add fat to dishes made from venison, but still, the taste of the meat itself is unique. And of course filet mignon is not a very fatty cut of beef, but the texture and purity of taste are to die for. If you think it doesn't have quite enough fat for your taste (say you're a Ribeye or Delmonico kinda guy), a nice Diane sauce or red wine demi glace/gravy/au jus will fix that right up. Turkey is lower fat than chicken, but not when you cook it with garlic sage butter rubbed under and on top of the skin and in the cavity.

But yeah-- fat is fuckin awesome. Olive oil, bacon, lard, butter, cheese...when it comes to fat, it's all good, man.

    fuck you

    Lamb is the best

Chicken gets the most value for the price.

What you think this thread is? The Price is Right? Fuck value, the poll's about taste. You could be homeless and posting here from the local public library and still say Kobe beef is your favorite.

Its a tie between pork and beef. But I picked beef. I love all meats now that I think about it. Medium rare steak=WIN Phwoar

That was a tough choice, but I went with tasty lamb. Pork and venison would be close seconds, followed by bison, beef, turkey, chicken. The others I haven't tried, although I have had pigeon and it was disgusting!  vomit

And I know you excluded seafood, but unless I were really starving, I'd take a delicious grilled salmon fillet over any of those Afro

Haha, yes! That's something Islam actually got right: no vegetarianism! Some Muslims may even say it's haraam to be vegetarian.

I know a vegetarian convert who became a meat-eater only because of Islam.

Lol. I never tried camel. I heard you have to make wudu after you eat camel. One of my friends even told me that if someone in Kuwait served me meat that I wasn't absolutely sure of what it was, that I should make wudu afterwards just in case it was camel.
