Yea I met some sisters before, not many in the masjid. However there are some hijabis I know who are fucking hot. You can tell, they act flirty and seem like they would fuck good. Yes I know my hormones are insanely high, but thats what happens when you are a virgin at 20 mysmilie_977

Well I'm in Canada all by myself, so yay! Smiley But when I was in Saudi for 5 years, I never missed a Jum'a prayer ever except once or twice. 75% of the sermons were agonizingly boring, the other 25% were scary as shit.

Good lord so I had to sit through another jumma again  finmad. Long weekend so Friday was off and my mom made sure I went to the jumma.

    Topic of the sermon: Easter.

I went late of course hoping I would miss the boring sermon. But noooooo the mullah had to drag it on. So apparently it is un-islamic to enjoy any type of Easter festivities. wtf!!. He went on to say that we should not buy easter chocolates and eggs as this custom has `PAGAN`origins.

I just wanted to yell up to him and tell him that most of the Islamic shit like fasting & ritual animal slaughter are pagan too. Sigh......

Cheesy ^^ True.  All religion is connected to old paganism, there has never been a new religion that didn't borrow.

My mum wants me to go mosque on Friday, but I just 'pray' at home. Beats bending down and being in danger of smelling another guy's feet as you bow your head to the ground.

It's easy for us to joke about these khutbas but there is a very serious side as well.  This is where the mass brainwashing occurs and the way in which the crowd gullibly all say "ameen" or "subhanallah" to every ridiculous thing that the imam says is a real cause for concern.

There's no discussion or debates in these khutbas.  It's all one way and it's all brainwashing.

One time our imam told parents to not speak english to their children because according to him english doesn't have the brainwashing effect that our native urdu or punjabi languages do.  mysmilie_977

Lol! Yeah, I guess I could see that, maybe more rhythmic or something. The fact that he actually used the term "brainwashing" and the parents are like, "oh, yeah, we need better brainwashing for our children!" is just sad.

He didn't really use the term brainwashing because he was speaking in urdu.  I forgot what he said exactly, but brainwashing is what I basically interpretted it as.

Yes Easter and Christianity has pagan origins. So does Islam. So does Judaism. *sigh* I remember vividly being dragged to these khutbas and all.

o yea well said. its disturbing how much of an authority the muslim public gives to these imams. Clergy in general is the only group of people on earth that can get away with making extreme claims and not provide a shred of evidence. Even when i was a muslim i never understood how people could simply say "ameen" to everything the moronic imam says.

Oh no. Shit. I'm a dumbass.  Cheesy

Ye, I usually arrive late so I don't listen to the Khutbah. It's been a long time since I been to the mosque, forgive me. I think I was referring to the bit when the Imam just keeps talking after the prayer about giving charity to Muslims who are poor and suffering.

Ah, well, of course. I should have known. They themselves are brainwashed though, so it seems like the right thing to do Roll Eyes
