Reading all this I feel pretty lucky because my family never asks me to say prayers or go to the mosque, or even discuss the topic, its like they're silently understanding of my apostasy even though I never said I'm an apostate..

Any of you in Canada hear of this guy? The mosque he gives khutbahs in is like 20 minutes from my house. But I never went. Trying to justify Niqaab

I tried watching this idiot's video. I could not. Its just pathetic. It is so highly rated too.
What mosque is this? I am in canada and live in the GTA region. I probably know this place.

    Its the Abu Huraira centre.

Boy!  The name alone says a lot about what kind of place THAT mosque must be!

Wow. I actually feel like joining the party! dance at least the Sufi's are the least dangerous sect. They're like the Buddhism of Islam.

That would be an awesome holiday!

Too bad I came from this sect:

If Islam was no booze, no pork but the up side was appearing on friday to do Sufi whirling with a relaxed atmosphere, it would be alot more palatable to most people.

IIRC, the black cloak is ones ego, the master keeps his on because apparently he is able to master his ego. It is quite interesting.

Sufis are no Buddhists. Some users here have had some pretty bad experiences with the radical side of the sect. Hassan wrote a chapter on it in his blog, well worth reading.

Even Buddhists can be crazy extremists (like the Japanese suicide kamikaze soldiers) I'm not saying Sufism is not dangerous at all, I'm just saying it's the least dangerous. I mean they're also famous for using hashish for spiritual purposes, which is pretty awesome if you ask me!
Hassan has a blog? cool! what's the link?

@Moe dude, japanese people are not all buddhists, many of them follow the shinto religion and many more are irreligious. Even still.. the suicide attacks they did were for the emperor / country, not because of buddhism / shinto
