Omar Alkhayam. Definetly one awesome poster. He's not been around. I miss reading his posts.

Sojournlemous now that I have garnered he is still alive.  Intelligence and a measured approach, the kind of wisdom that you would expect from a Guru  Cheesy

Also BrucePig (QMan - you might want to read some of his posts as I am not sure if your paths crossed)

Mowgli - who despite a short time here, managed to conjure up one hell of a funny thread (see the reasons behind his username)

And Anti-Jihadist & Ribs who made me laugh with their posts

Second all those other names mentioned in the above posts also (PS good idea for a thread Q Afro)

Thanks, Islame; I've missed you too.  Been fishing: y'know, fool on a hill and all that.  Don't know about intelligence tho' - more like mania. And the measured approach is down to beta blockers. Just for the record, you have me confused with My brother Denis - he's the Guru in the family. The guy's a living saint FCS. The Hare Krisnas have made statues of him to put in their temples already. Must go and rub his tummy sometime.

I miss Heartbomb. I'd really like to know if she's ready for crashing her crate into a skyscraper yet. And Hassan's brother (whats his name). The acid wit used to crease me up.

I search the faces of the gods... for ways to please you, to make you proud. One kind word, one full hug... where you pressed me to your chest and held me tight. Would have been like the sun on my heart for a thousand years. What is it in me that you hate so much?

Thank you, thank you, thank you, BD. I've watched that film so many bloody times and never managed to pick up that chunk of script due to bad Tinnitus, although I'd guessed what role it played in gladdie's grand theme. I can die happy now. Well, I mean last time wasn't bad at all but now next time is going to be even better.

Thanks for reminding me of this classic post by BD.  It still makes me laugh just as much.  What a joker. Lmao

I must use this line on someone some day.   Cheesy

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Omar Khayyam was perhaps one of the deepest and mature people on this forum. I think he felt out of place here.

His disagreements with Islam were more purely philosophical than religious or social. He's from a different generation than most of us too. I think he felt the forum was a bit too off the edge in terms of islam/muslim bashing for his tastes. I think he'd be in the same category as dudes like Hassan or z10 in his way of thinking.

Actually I remember talking to him on MSN once about his feelings about the forums. I think he just felt that there was an expiry date on the ex-muslim anti-religion thing. He had no bad feeling towards the forums, just he felt what needed to be talked about was talked about and he didn't see the point in continuing it further. A feeling a lot of us have too, I rarely debate religious matters here either - I'm just here as a token troll and resident retard.

I love Omaar Khayam and can confirm he is just as awesome in RL.

Yeah he has nothing against the forum - but as Iblis says, he doesn't feel he needs to keep raking over old debates. tbh I feel the same.

I think there comes a point where you hear the same argument/ debates and points from new members and you reach that state where you think "awww not this shit again!" you become secure in your opinion, you have nothing to prove to anyone else, and you're comfortable with what you think. debate isn't going to change anything so it becomes a moot point.

I think at that point you just have to ride off into the sunset and live your life.

You could ride off, but if in the meantime you became terribly addicted to the forum, you could just stay and use it socially.  Be warned though, this is a dangerous addiction to take up.
