The notion that the god of the reality we live in puts blind faith over anything else, in spite of the rest of its creation.
The notion that humans are being tested, when the rules and the aspect of the test is so vague and nonsensical.

Reasons:
* Muslims bash gays! (so are other religions including atheists.. lol)
* Quran has many contradictions among different verses.
* Islam is very anti women (although I found women more religious then men, but somehow majority of women would end up in hell)
* I found nothing saner in religious muslims compared to religious people following any other religion. They are all equally stupid.
* When there is an earth quake in New Zealand, its a wrath of Allah even though there is no human causality whatsoever. While it is a test of Allah when Pakistan got all the floods and thousands of people died, millions left homeless.

I'm a male atheist from the UK and I find Mohammed's attempt at addressing life's questions to be entertaining, but largely unhelpful, incoherent, unscientific, selfish, medieval, petty and one that has been extensively plagiarised from books that had better, more imaginative authors. I'm struggling to pick a top three, so I guess you can leave this bit blank for me?

Out of interest, do you have any ideas how many ex-muslims belong to this forum (I realise that many of them won’t be included on your list)?

im 28 names Amir, from london, uk. Both parents are a mixture of iranian/pakistani. im bisexual. reason for leaving islam is simply i got bored and fed up. i used to be religious. i tried and tried to follow it but i actually used to feel embarassed of it. It simply contradicted my views and what I as an individual wanted to do and be like in life. I didnt want to follow rules and the more i did follow islamic ruls the more angry it made me. Slowly i started to abandon them and eventually got to a stage where i was blaspheming and quite enjoyed it. i realised i was trying to be what i wasnt and i didnt care of heaven and hell. they always seemed like a fairytale story to me and mohamed flying to heavens on a horse with wings was rediculous. I enjoy sex and i love men and women and i didnt wanna give to shits about a god who says i will be punished for doing what i enjoy. just little things eventually lead me to totally abandon the faith and be free.

Anyone else out there in the similar boat as me? bisexual, free, happy and wanna hook up? message me. x

I testify there is no god especially Allah and mohammed was just a pimp.

Reasons too many contradictions in religoius text and fights between muslims.

Can't bear the obscurantism of certain hadiths (like shaitan peeing in one ear if one does not wake up for fajr).

Found the way muslims recrute convert horrendous; like signing an insurance document and find out in the small prints that you have signed your death penalty.
This is the reason many of us are here name undisclosed.

For the unfortunate one born Muslims with strict families you have all my sympathy.

If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten.
