When I was a Muslim I never really took much notice of Harun Yahya, but was aware many people held him up as the great defender of Islam against things like the theory of evolution.

It is only after leaving Islam I realise what a total egotistical fraud that guy is - a real charlatan that manipulates people's ignorance!

It is funny how he describes Darwinism like this:

...it deceived them, turned them into robots, dehumanized them and set them at odds with one another..."

I think he means religion lol

I also love his arrogant claim that God sent him to destroy Darwinism:

"Allah made me his instrument in crushing that head (Darwinism)"

At this point the interviewer and others there say "Mashallah!"

How sad that so many Muslims fall for this creep!

I have a friend in Turkey and according to him the general opinion of Yahya over there is that he is like the village idiot. I find this reassuring.

Maybe people are wising up these days - but he was widely respected in the past - at least in some circles. As I say I never read him since I always thought that stuff about miracles in the Qur'an was crap - but many Muslims loved that reinforcement of their faith by "Science"

Actually he does claim that he is Mehdi, or that he wants to be seen as Medhi. I read about it somewhere.

I'd love to hear his explanation for Muhammad's prediction that the end of the world would be in 100 years - well, its been a bit over 100 years and nothing has happened.

Doesn't surprise me - he seems to be implying that he has been sent by God even in this interview.

I guess I'll point out the obvious error in the video title: they were talking about a hadith, not Qur'an.

Thats what I am saying. If Islam was the haqq from Allah, wouldn't he appoint smart people to carry out dawah or to represent the religion, unlike Zakir Naik, or Harun Yahya?
