Non-voters: if you're registered, you still have until 10pm to reconsider. Grasp the opportunity and vote for proportional representation. I hope the four of you can change your minds.

How would you vote for that?

The Lib Dems would push hardest for electoral reform. If they were to join Labour, we'd be likely to see STV implemented, as Labour does want reform. The Conservatives oppose it, but may offer a referendum. The Lib Dems are the best option if you don't like FPTP. Plus, I agree with them on a whole load of other issues, like the economy, immigration, civil liberties, and more.

LibDems just got my vote - opinion polls say its neck & neck, but its the marginals that will decide the election.  Anyone know what the current prediction is on seats?  I read the markets are predicting a landslide Conservative victory?

Really? That's what I hate most about them. Plus they're pro-EU stance.

I'm still undecided between LibDems and Tories.

as soon as the votes are all counted.  Unofficially it will be during the early hrs of the morning I guess, but officially they have to wait extra days for postal votes to be counted I think

I can't figure out why I'm excited. I think this decade has been shit politically and the entire world just want things to improve. We started the 21th Century with yet more wars and human losses. I think people are now just fed up with bullshit.

BBC ONE 10am-4am live. The results will trickle in as they are counted in each constituency. Postal votes should already be done. We will probably know by midday latest as to how the parliament is madeup.

As a first time voter in the general elections I, too, am excited. It is a bit ritualistic for people to tripsy down to their local polling station to put a cross in a box but it's a nice ritual to see in progress.

I meant non-domicile postal voters - from what I remember of previous elections, their votes come in later but they are not in sufficient quantity to likely affect the overrall unofficial verdict that will be delivered during the morning tomorrow

Do they actually want reform, or do they just pay lip service to it?

Well, it's been one of their central policies for ages, and it would benefit them enormously, so yeah, I'd say they really want reform. I'm fairly confident they'll do whatever they can to get STV implemented if they get any sort of power.

Really? That's what I hate most about them. Plus they're pro-EU stance.

I assume you don't like the amnesty, right? I think it's a fair idea, but the media has been spreading all sorts of misinformation about it. Here's what it's really about, straight from the horse's mouth:

    Quote from: Lib Dem website
Focus deportation efforts on criminals – let law-abiding families earn citizenship. It would take years and cost us £8bn to deport all those who are living in Britain illegally. Some of them are criminals and people-traffickers. Others are families who have been here for years, and just want to work and pay their taxes. Immigration officers are focusing on families because they’re easy targets, letting criminals off the hook. We would allow people who have been in Britain for 10 years, speak English, have a clean record and want to live here long-term to earn citizenship. That way, immigration officers can spend all their time deporting dangerous people and checking up on employers to stop illegal working.

That's all it is. People like Cameron make it sound as if all illegal immigrants would instantly get legal status the second they get here, which is pretty misleading.

Heres a class rant from a guy on a football site I frequent.

May I be the first to congratulate David Cameron.

You have affirmed many of my beliefs.

You are a talentless cretin devoid of any fucking personality.

You have proven to me that the electorate in this country are largely spanners who don't fucking deserve a fucking vote.

An absolute bumbling fucking spaztoid who shouldn't be allowed to speak in front of a fucking classroom let alone a country.

Congratulations! You have confirmed my belief that the country is indeed completely fucked and will be until the day of revolution.

The fucking x-factor, big brother, celebrity plastic titted cunts have won the fucking day.

You will get the country you fucking deserve you numb nutted, sun reading, thumbless, pig ignorant fucktards.

"Would the last to leave the country please turn off the light?"

Never has a fucking headline from that fucking piece of Tory shite seemed more prophetic, although 18 years late.

As much as I despise new labour I am fucking shuddering at the prospect of this new romantic looking sucker of satans cock gaining power.

    Joe Strummer said it;

"All over, people changing their votes, along with their overcoats.
If Adolf Hitler flew in today, they'd send a limousine anyway."

I just wish there was something there to believe in.

    Fuck you, Blair!!
    Fuck you, Brown!!!
    Fuck you, New Labour!!!!

    Adam Smith will be birling.

    That is top rantage !

According to the polls only 1.6 % of Americans are athiests. So what gives you the right to call the other 80% morons?'
