I sets how many embedded vids you want to load on each page.

Anyway I had another thought about it. If it isn't too much trouble it might be good to code it so that if you have it set to display ten embedded vids it will show the newest ten instead of the oldest ten. That would make sense in view of how threads are usually used.

I liked RIBS idea too.

Another workaround that would allow regular users to see the titles might be to keep the same default as it is, but to allow registered members 10 videos to embed automatically with the title. Ive seen times when there are as many as 5 times non-registered members online as there are registered ones, so we still have a marked improvement.

Then as the user base expands we could always tweak this option to optimise the system performance as necessary.

It's not the bandwidth we're concerned about. It's the load on an individual's browser and connection. The server shouldn't be affected since the load is carried by YouTube.

The script doesn't have any knowledge of registered or unregistered users. The idea of RIBS is technically impossible atm. Maybe future updates to the HTML standard will make it possible.

Now I made it so that by default a maximum of 5 videos will be embedded (and the rest will have preview images, if available). If people want to change this, they can do so by clicking on the Settings link.
