She's brilliant.  My grandfather worked with her in the 70s and thinks the world of her and her work.  He really enjoyed watching this latest video as we're glued to the news on Egypt.  Cheers, allat.

I have read her book, I foget the title, I still have it, buried under all other books in my house. I think that was her 1st book. That was many years ago. I will post the title of the book when I find it. She is a great lady.

Damn .. those responses are 13 year old and I too wrote about her in innumerable posts in different forums  since 2001 and I am sure Nawal El Saadawi inspired millions of young girls like the one we see in that video of young  Jana Amin.

the sad thing is I DID NOT EVEN REALIZE that we lost Nawal Elsaadawi  on 21st March 2021 in that covid times...  well one day we all go and we are getting older but mean while we got to do what got to do ...  That Video of Jana Amin was from 2022..  and  so.. well indeed she walked through fire throughout her life.. so let me watch this

that interview is a year before her demise

Author Nawal Saadawi has written over 50 books and has been translated into more than 32 languages. She is a novelist, human activist and social reformer.

More than any other figure in modern-day times, she has continued to influence generations for the past 50 years. She is a medical doctor by profession and started writing about her clinical cases in order to educate men and women about gender.

This talk examines the impact of Nawal’s work and the benefit her work has to students, faculty and outside guests.

look at her .. she was indeed a fireball  she says I hate to speak  English in Arab country.. and she speaks and writes fluent English  and was Professor  In US of A
