Thirdly the very process of repeating something over and over again in faith and devotion makes the banal seem special.

This post touches on some fascinating points ! Are there any particular books you can think of that explore this further ? It would be a fascinating way to get historical context for some of this.

Allah will burn those who had rejected him, or did not make any serious effort to make friends with him.

It is that simple.
