great one RIBS!. i have to admit i was taken back for a second when he said "stop talking about it".. he makes a powerful point..
couldn't help smile at the interveiwers reaction though.. he was so hesitant to answer the question lol

that guys voice can convince me to believe pretty much anything, damn good narrator. good thing he is not a preacher

He is a preacher, of reason and science. He is obviously fond of free thinking and scientific analysis of things. He has narrated, some cool program about space and the universe. "Through The Wormhole" its called. They are advertising it on Discovery channel. The month of October (starting on the 4th) will be dedicated to that, so if you have Discovery Science channel, it will be interesting to watch.

Um, no. No I don't. The idea of a post-racist society may work well for a rich Black man like Morgan Freeman, who makes his bread from White people watching his movies, but that doesn't make it reality.

I don't know about the whole "don't talk about it" thing.. but he's 100% right about black history month. What a ridiculous concept. Bellittling of both black people and history alike.

He was not born rich. He was a poor black American who worked hard in many different jobs until he had his chance. His first role that made him money was when he was over 50 years old. So basically all of his teen and early adult life he was a regular not-rich black American. So I guess he knows what he is taking about.

Yeah, just because someone was born poor means that once they are rich they truly sympathize with and support the working class. Tell that to the strikers Andrew Carnegie had killed.

Freeman has been rich for a long time, due to White folks liking him, easy enough for him to start to develop an attitude that our society has evolved beyond race. His statement "just stop talking about it" was naive in the extreme.
