So, the republicans will most likely win thìs and dominate the US politics, and they will sabotage any progressive effort of obama in the coming 2 years... and probably in 2012 Palin will get elected president... God save us all.

Palin will never get elected. Mitt Romney is the front-runner for the Republican nomination.

Heh, my grandpa told me a story about when he was recovering in an English hospital from severe wounds received during the Ardennes Campaign, this English nurse came up to him crying because FDR had just died, and my grandpa consoled her by saying "Well, it's okay, we still have Churchill" and she responded by saying "I don't care about Churchill. What will we do without FDR?" or somethin like that.

Relax, the world was in tact when Obama took office and it will be in tact when he leaves, be that 2 years from now or 6. He's just another politician guys.

Who cares? There's very little difference between the Reps and Dems anyway, and the President is mostly a figurehead.  As long as the Supreme Court isn't dominated by icy brained fascists who think a fertilised egg has the same rights as a grown woman, or the military headed by a maniac who stages a coup and strikes down the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, it won't make much difference to Americans or the rest of the world.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?
