    Clearly you can read them in OT?  they are indeed stupid words coupled to silly stories..  But one must ask a question here., 

    1). Are those words and OT  followers  dangerous to other religious folks?

    2). Are those words and OT  followers  dangerous  to those who question them??

    answer to both of the questions is NO unlike Islam and Quran.
