I know most of us hate the face of Zakir Naik. But I think he could be really great tool to reach out billions of muslims all at once. Lets organize Zakir Naik debate with Ex-muslims.

If you are too scared to get killed, we all can wear masks and show the world that we are wearing them to protect ourselves against violent fatwa's..

mighty_cats: It needs a collective group effort from us supported by some TV channel. We will then organize our questions properly through private group conversation. We would also need an Arabic speaker among us like Hassan to refute any Arabic language claim he make.

Muddy, great idea, but as the yesterday's video (by rationalizer) proves - logic does not prove a thing with the goat-man and his sheep-followers. Thus, I am sceptic.

The last time I saw a debate between a Muslim Scholar and an atheist, it was Hamza Tzortsis who was debating an atheist who was almost completely ignorant of Islam. I.e. an easy debate for Mr Tzortsis. It seems that Islamic "scholars" only like to debate where they have the upper hand.

I think I saw an Adam Deen (?) debate when he debated the leader of a student atheist organization who had his degree is sports journalism. I was like really Adam, a guy with a sports journalism degree?

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

It's a dawah gimmick. They pick out people who would know little of Islam so they can be 'schooled', and give the impression that Islam carries intellectual distinction.

We aren't really obliged to be truthful. We can hide the fact of being ex-muslims until the last minute. Anyways, I think muslims and their scholars still think that either being ex-muslim is not possible or we leave because of lack of knowledge. So I highly doubt it would occur to them that we have upper hand.

Adam seems to show a lot less confidence when his opponents have a good idea in what he believes in e.g his debate with Dan Barker.

Adam Deen's argumentation is hardly original.
