Don't know if any of you guys watched Top Gear this week, but there was a great segment on Ayrton Senna. Here it is (unfortunately only availabe to UK users):

    Rahimahu Allah.

He's no friend to the friendless
And he's the mother of grief
    There's only sorrow for tomorrow
    Surely life is too brief

I haven't watched that yet - must watch it at some point. Where would you rank him amongst the greatest drivers?

I was only 15 when he died in 1994 and was actually watching the race on TV when he died, but I only really got into F1 a couple of years earlier. From highlights of races that I've seen it certainly looked like he could do magical things in an F1 car. There's a clip of Michael Schumacher in that video where he says that Senna was number 1 (I love the all new Nr. Nice Guy Michael Schumacher btw), in fact all the race drivers interviewed say he was number 1. I love watching interviews of him also.

    But what about the question?

I stopped watching F1 when he died :S

Do not look directly at the operational end of the device.

I only watched the last two years of his career really, but I think it's safe to say he was number 1 - I think the majority of people in F1 think so.

Even better than Schumacher? I was very young when Senna died, about 8, and the only race I remember of his is the last one, so I can't really comment on him, but I can't think of anyone better than Schumacher - he was amazing!
