I don't understand what 'protecting ethnicity' means.
The BNP, for example, says that 'white ethnicity' has to be 'protected'.
If its on the level of passing on traditions or rituals or aspects of culture, I see it as harmless, provided that they are benign and flexible and adaptable and non bigoted and non coercive aspects of culture.
Change is the only constant thing in life. The identity and cultures of every 'ethnicity' will change. The idea of 'protecting ethnicity' can easily segue into protecting reactionary attitudes or traditions that smother or oppress the individual.
Protect the individual. Ethnicity is a construct. Whatever is good and deserves to live will survive and be passed on across generations.
