i said welfare, not rights. muslims believe halal to be the most humane way of killing animals.

Either term hardly means much when claimed by anyone who slaughters animals for no other reason (or necessity) than their enjoyment in eating them, let alone for sacrificial craziness.

This is one thing.  The other is when, in this modern age, they slaughter them in the religious fashion that they call kosher and halal.

muslims believe halal to be the most humane way of killing animals.

And NAMBLA believe that having sex with children is the most loving way of treating them.

except on a certain day.  Then it's strongly suggested that animals should be killed for no other reason to celebrate an attempted murder

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

Is there any scientific evidence for that claim? I've talked to people in the agriculture/meat industry who witnessed Kosher and Halal slaughters and they say Kosher/Halal slaughter is the most humane method they've ever saw.

    You mean inhumane?

On this point though I don't want to disagree with Abood completely though.  There are a lot and very good provisions laid out in Islam for the treatment of animals.

I'm only going by their statements.

humane = generous and good, best of humanity, compassionate  inhuman = very bad, cruel, not human like

I mean, did you mistakenly type humane instead of inhumane here?

Because that would be surprising, coming from agricultural folk, who've surely heard of the methods rendering an animal unconscious first.

I'm not saying Kosher/Halal is humane, they are.

Well they say it is very fast.

As for rendering animals unconscious they also say at times the taser does not work the first time, therefore the animals will have to be tasered several more times to knock them out.
