its not even a criticism, but they seem so embarrassed about it.

the only argument i get from them is that their form of envaglism doesnt include knocking on doors.

because the first thought when you say "evanglism" is the christian preacher healing someone by knocking them over the head.. and muslims being so much wiser *ness says in a sarcastic voice*... can't be associated with that

Because to them what they're selling is pure demonstrable truth, evangelism suggests that they are selling blind faith. Not everyone gets offended at the suggestion though, I've seen enough old fashioned Muslim preachers who don't go down the ridiculous 'science in the quran' line that many others do and still think of Islam as a system of belief/way of life, rather than a provable truth.

Because (many) Muslims are insulted when you interpret anything to do with Islam and Islamic attitudes on anything other than their own terms.

Dawah is a deliverance to the uncivilised, and ungratefulness or questioning of it is an arrogance.
