  • My conversation with Quran Burner Pastor Terry Jones (video)
     OP - June 09, 2012, 08:04 PM

I had a chance to meet and talk to the infamous Qur'an burner Pastor Terry Jones, and at first I did not know what to expect. Quite honestly, he was a nice guy! He's just on a mission I guess. By no means do I support his methodology and its awful that people were killed due to his demonstrations, but I think my conversation with him proved alot to me: namely that the Islamic radicals are far more disturbed than the Christian radicals. No matter how you want to put it, the fact that a man burned a holy book to make a point cannot possibly compare to all of the throat slaughters, sodomized tortures, suicide bombings and cold blooded murders done in the name of Islam time and time again. I'm sorry, but it just cannot compare.  Here is my conversation with Pastor Terry Jones:

I like his moustache. He looks like he could be in a Burt Reynolds movie from the 1970s.

Blah, I hated it. I have a variety of hearing conditions. One of them involves not being able to differentiate individual words when there is a lot of background noise. So the protest speech in the background and the ‘tape hiss’ really stopped me making a lot of it out. I could understand sentences here and there, but it was simply too much work and I had to give up after about 4 minutes.

A pity. I really want to hear his opinions. Perhaps add subtitles?

A bunch of papers and ink should not be held on the same level as a human life. You can reprint a Quran but you can't get back lives lost. As for the demonstrations they were dumb, but you should know better than to anger Muslim Radicals. You should be promoting peace and inter-faith communication not encouraging anger. Everything he did was counter-productive and goes against the teachings of the new testament.

That guy by far isn't the worst of the worst. Christian terrorists kill doctors who perform abortions and bomb clinics. And let's not forget that Breivik was a self-identified "Christian crusader".
