The attack on the student on a bus in December outraged India and triggered a debate about the treatment of women.

Just saw this on the news. I know I should give a shit, but quite honestly my only thought was "Good".

Its technically wrong if he been murdered but

he still wasnt killed nowehere near as brutally as he killed the girl so it is impossible to feel any sympathy for him.

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living

He hadn't been convicted, had he? How do we know another innocent person hasn't been killed in her name?

Well, actually we wouldn't necessarily know that even if he had been convicted. However, given that he was driving the bus and was in on the attack..................

How do we know that though? We never got to hear the evidence because there was no trial. Never will be now.

Indian politicians are corrupt but only on productive stuff.. like they take a bite out of projects n all. No one will risk his carrier in pure public interest just to calm public ...they wont risk a kill..the guy must've either died with torture during investigation or..he actually killed himself... other than that i don't think so.Its highly unlikely to have arrested an innocent guy... simply coz there was immense media pressure ...they can take the burden of delay .. but a screw up arrest would mean end of carrier.Media is super vigil now a days

None of that means he's guilty. In fact the immense media pressure means a mistake is more likely to be made, not less.

We'll never know now I suppose, so if he was innocent the real culprit has gotten away with it. Great.

Well, not exactly. They have arrested the others who were involved too. So at the moment it doesn't look like anyone has gotten away with it.

And when you have a whole bus full of witnesses it's not that hard to verify the identity of the criminal.
