    1. Kutta has manners.
    2. Kutta is awesome.
    3. He has a point! Don't dismiss it.

It's people like you that make me stick to Islam, because atleast islam prohibits bad manners.

So far we establish that you think a system that keeps people in line by using fear is worthy of respect. And now we establish that you believe that without Islam, you cannot do any kind of good, let alone have manners.

Don;t worry, you wont look like a fool for arguing. If it is genuine, we will all learn something. But maybe you need some time to think about it. Like a year. Or four . Maybe read on child psychology. There are plenty of theorists you can get ideas from. Then Islam will seem so simple, silly, boring....

Seriously? because of one person's bad manners? lol. Sorry to break it to you, but the world is full of people of 'bad manners' and plain aresholes, you have to get used to it. Filter out the nonsense and look at which points are being argued. There are some Muslims with bad manners too btw Wink lol....

He does have a point here. I’ve often considered how I would ever derive any sense of personal ethics if there were not a merciful god over me, watching and policing my every thought and move.

The threat of having molten brass poured down my throat and iron hooks pulled across my face is exactly the sort of conditioning that I need to motivate me to live a moral, productive lifestyle. I’m not sure that I would ever be able to realize virtues such as not murdering, not raping, and doing unto others as I would have them do unto me if it were not for the divine words of Allah.

Surely, human beings are incapable of coming up with such conclusions on their own.

Surely, we can only realize such truths through the inspired words of the Messenger--who himself implemented an outright and unambiguous ban on killing, owning slaves, sexual slavery, child marriage, genocide, caravan raiding, intimidation of religious minorities, and restrictions of personal freedom. All praises are due to Allah who has guided us to his straight path of morals and good manners.

I'm sorry for calling it bullshit. But just think about it from a perspective of Islam being untrue. Telling your child that they will suffer in a place such as hell for eternity, thousands and thousands of years over and over again without any chance of redeeming yourself, is nothing but child abuse.

Sometimes, when you express the irrationality of tragic beliefs that have caused so much pain in people's minds for many centuries, I may not have appropriate manners. Forgive me for that.

I would still like you to address the points though.

Haha HM, it's unfortunate that most of my Muslim friends don't even know about the kinds of things you mentioned in the last paragraph. Knowledge does free you Smiley
