Imagine if Science worked like Religion

I was thinking of this interesting analogy and I just wanted to share.
Religion says you should believe in it because I dunno maybe 1 out of 100 people get their prayers answered by God (and that's a generous number) therefore God exists of that religion. And every once in awhile miracles happen. NOW imagine if this was applied to science. A type of medication has been created, but only works 1 our of 100 times. Would you still take it? Probably not. So why does religion have no much leeway with erratic and chaotic results? Yet Science has to have such strict truth to it's claims and absolute proof before anyone believes it. If God fucks up, it's like oh well whatever sometimes you don't get what you want/need. But if science fucks up then everyone is in an uproar and demands the head of it's claimer.
