  • Is this drink halalwed?

Scientists are developing a drug which mimics all the positive effects of being drunk without any of the health risks, addiction – or hangovers.

Will Muslims be able to get drunk on this?

i never get hangovers anyway. Think it's because I'm mostly Irish blood, I swear my ancestors drank to the point they overcame hangovers on a genetic level Cheesy

There are many muslims who drink alcohol. This new thing may be looked at as a halal substitute but the point is being intoxicated. If it's an intoxication it's not allowed. This isn't something that is stuck to with muslims globally but it's the whole point of it, or at least nowadays that's what the religious leaders say.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

yup as long as there is no alcohol they can drink it.

there might be an implicit prohibition against all recreational drugs that get you high though.

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living

If it turns out to be a drug that gives a great high and makes people enjoy themselves you can bet your prayer mat to a penny that it will be halal.

Religion always forbid the good stuff  that could mean contentedness without their input.

According to the polls only 1.6 % of Americans are athiests. So what gives you the right to call the other 80% morons?'
