"These end up in large intestine, where microbes chew them apart and use them for energy, through the process of fermentation. As a byproduct, they produce gas."

    Fermentation produces alcohol.

What does Islam say about the whisky distillery in our guts?

Maybe we'll hear a fatwa about smelling farts is haram, because banee Aadam will always find ways to sin.

Lol Thats a good one, but its simply as passing out metabolic gas out of your system... which Islam considers Haram what if people sitting in a mosque silently fart intentionally and no one knows about it. is that still Haram if you ask a Muslim he will tell you Allah knows everything lollllllllllll

    Auto-brewery syndrome
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Auto-brewery syndrome, also known as gut fermentation syndrome, is a rare medical condition in which intoxicating quantities of alcohol are produced through endogenous fermentation within the digestive system.[1] [2] Numerous cases have been documented in the medical literature.[3] One gastrointestinal organism, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, has been identified as a pathogen for this condition.

Claims of endogenous fermentation of this type have been used as a defense against drunk driving charges.[4][5]

One case went undetected for 20 years.[6]

It has also been investigated, but eliminated, as a possible cause of sudden infant death syndrome.[7]

The antifungal drug fluconazole can be effective treatment for the condition since the drug is capable of killing Saccharomyces cerevisiae in the gastrointestinal tract.[2]

The effects of the disease can have profound effects on everyday life; as well the recurring side effects of dizziness, dry mouth, hangovers, disorientation, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, which can lead to other health problems such as depression and anxiety - the random state of intoxication can lead to personal difficulties and the relative obscurity of the condition can also make it hard to seek treatment. Usually the effects of the condition can alleviated through a special very low-carbohydrate diet[8]

^^ just read an article about a man having that syndrome and he was always drunk (when sober, he had a hungover)... so god make ppl who are drunk without alcohol, thus being drunk is not haram. The was a fatwa that beer wasnt haram (while wine is)...

Thus ladies and gentlemen, lets go out and drink lots of beer. Cheesy
