    For the Syrians and Palestinians:

Razib Khan is looking at the latest literature on the Levantine genome which, like the Armenian genome (formed 1200 BC), is a mixture of peoples (formed, in this case, 3500 BC). Various digs have turned up an ancient Mediterranean Farmer population, which today survives in Sardinia. There was also a Zagros Farmer population, wholly unrelated - at the time. The Levantines formed when the two met.

Presumably, when a horde from the Zagros charged into Syria during the early Bronze Age, before anyone was taking notes.
