    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myslf. I am from an Afghan Pashtoon background, recently came to accept that Islam doesn't have all the answers. I am still questioning things however, in the hopes that maybe I might be wrong...

I had a question to which I have looked for answers everywhere (especially in Islamic forums) but could not find anything. Maybe you guys might have an opinion on it.

Put simply, when Muslims pray 5 times a day, they are asking Allah to bless Mo and his family as He has blessed Abraham and his family:

    <<<My God, honour Muhammad
    and Muhammad’s family
    as you honoured Abraham
    and Abraham’s family
Surely, you are praiseworthy, the Great>>>

I always found this wierd and thought of it as if Mo himself, was unsure of his prophethood. What do you guys think?

Interesting question. I'll leave others to ponder it though. Anyway, welcome and have a parrot! parrot

Hello there. I feel weird about it too.Even in syahada, why should we mention his name? Isnt that too much to ask? Why do we have to mention abraham mohamad in our prayers? And also shalawat/selawat (i dont know what you call it in your language)

    Sorry.i dont have the answers.

    Weirdo and introvert.
