So I've been researching these two sect except Shia, and I must say Ahmadi's are a lot progressive than those Sunni heathen intolerant infidels...

Even my country in Malaysia is predominantly Sunni, and are major intolerant assholes...

Yup, Ahmedis get treated like shit all over the place. Funny how they're the one sect of Islam that really does deserve to be called a religion of peace, and they are utterly despised by the other sects.

Ahmadiyyat is often seen by ex Muslims as a more palatable version on Islam. Credit where credit due. They are a peaceful community. However, please be aware that the image that they project of a progressive and modern community is far from the truth. It is a highly authoritarian and conservative "cult" (in my opinion). In this sense I think they are very deceptive. To give you an example when they talk to "the white man" they will proudly tell them that their woman are highly educated and given the "choice" to cover themselves. The truth however is that their Khalifa holds a deep seated disdain of women who are professionals and who don't cover. It's this sort of hypocrisy and misleading talk that lead to me question the community I was born and raised in and that journey has ultimately lead me here.
