I'd be crushed and very disappointed if toor volunteers to leave the forum for good.

I admit I didn't like the rather grating and insensitive way in which toor dealt with TheRationalizer when the latter was in the process of offering to leave the forum in protest, but this place loses a lot of its appeal without the presence of dear toor, who -- let's face it -- is weird and wonderful.

Wherever you are, toor, and whatever you're doing or more likely, undoing, I miss you mate

Oh, and I draw a lot of comfort from "Last active: Today at 12:36 AM". The stray question is, how could toor be electronically described as "active" when toor didsn't say anyting?

Thank you, everyone (and to Wahhabist in particular for the fulsomest not-quite-eulogy I've had to date), but I wasn't leaving. My last post was brought on by a combined rumination on Blade Runner and the feeling that I have been too long online (22 years or so, now) and largely wasted my time there as elsewhere. I've been around less over the festive season, because I felt like taking a break, but - as has been spotted - I have been lurking in case I've been needed.

(Also, in relation to a certain Victorian strongman cosplayer late of this parish - I can only say that my latter responses were born of exasperation.)
