    I'm doing enlightened despotism in class & how although there were many monarchs with great intentions in Europe, monarchy was doomed to failure, replaced by democracy. Is a moderate, liberal Islam like that?

    Throughout history, there were terrific Kings, better than many an elected President & during Enlightened Despotism, monarchs did try to be better monarchs, yet they had little success & beginning with the French Revolution, monarchy was doomed...

    What will liberal Islam's fate be? Just wondering... Thinking hard
