     OP - June 19, 2009, 12:12 PM

I was born and raised in Pakistan as Muslim, like so many others in the country. But after the thinking and analysis of many years I came to realize that I was not a muslim, I was just a human. Partly my brother living in Sweden has also been an inspiration source for me, as he is also ex-muslim, Humanist and atheist. I have realized that religion is part of human suffering in different parts of the world including Pakistan . In Pakistan it is a tool for mullahs and others to control their followers and their lives for their own winning. The treatment of women. According to Islam women are not worth more than to obey men, and produce children. Most of all Islam tries to control human thinking. It has rules for everything, even for how to think. It spreads teachings which are destructive for mankind and world peace, the most common known "Jihad". And so on...

Khalid, the poll doesn't make any sense.  Islam is a religion, people are murderers/terrorists.  Are you trying to ask if Islam prompts people to become murderers and terrorists?

Yes, can you edit your poll with the third option of 'a religion', otherwise neither is true.

There are some others from Pakistan, but they dont use their real name (if its your real name I recommend you change it)

P.S  Dont forget to tell your brother to visit this site too

Welcome Khalid Saeed, the poll does not make sense as it is presented.

See how those 2 sentences make little sense:
    Capitalism is murderers.
    Communism is terrorists.

"Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, 'Tell the Apostle the truth.'"

You left Islam because you wanted an easy way out, If you would at least honor not your religion but your ancestors who probably have went through a lot of hardships to get you where you are, perhaps you would have fought to change the Muslims around you who have caused suffering to others. I have heard of a Pakistani man who was in a TED debate about how he supported the 9/11 attacks, but after further discussions with people he realized he was wrong in doing so and has done the following his jihad (which does not mean holy war ) was to change the wrong mind sets of his people.
