A 23-year-old British woman on holiday in Dubai told police she had been raped, only to be arrested herself for having illegal sexual intercourse.

Whoever made the decision to arrest her should have all their limbs removed from their body and their cock cut off. Seriously--it would be a fitting punishment for such an abhorrent act. This disgusts me more than the rape itself.

According to Islamic law you need male witnesses to prove rape, I am not sure if you are aware, that many women (there was a recent case in Africa) end up going to jail or even stoned to death because of illegal intercourse.

In fact you'd be a fool to report a rape in such an environment.

This is even more disturbing because the woman is British Pakistani, and the story suggests that she is being persecuted most harshly specifically because she is a Muslim.

Go to Dubai, get raped, report it to the police, and get arrested for 'illegal drinking' and 'illegal sex' with your fiancee.

Unbelievable.

No, you're missing the point and its worse. You get done for having illegal sex with your rapist. Unless you have male witnesess to testify against, unlikely, then its a loophole in the Quran, punishable by stoning in many parts of Africa. Its happened before, in fact someone posted a documentary a while back where a tribal leader said exactly that and pointed out this dichotomy.

Oh yeah, I understand that, IsLame, I was just commenting on the fact that the womans fiancee has been arrested too, for having illegal sex outside marriage:

No, you see, I have the intelligence not to ever go to Dubai in the first place, and even if I did, I wouldnt report something like that to the police there.
