  • Imam Eesa Wood - Literalism in Islam
     OP - December 26, 2015, 03:02 PM

This Imam Eesa appears to be a new character in the american interfaith community.

If he wants to become a ``rockstar imam`` someone really needs to teach this guy how to be more subtle when answering questions about the more troubling parts of islam.

    Quote
Afterwards, I said to Imam Eesa Wood, “Almost no Jews believe literally in the Old Testament, and most Christians don’t believe literally in the New Testament. What percentage of Muslims doesn’t believe literally in the Qur’an?” He said that not believing literally would be grounds for excommunication. When I asked about the death penalty for blasphemy in some Muslim countries in the Mideast, he said there are no Muslim countries there. There are dictators who are kept in power by their Secular Humanist allies. When I asked for the name of a Secular Humanist in Saudi Arabia, he couldn’t come up with a name.

I've never heard of the guy. His answers don't really give any sense of depth or insight on his part. Some run of the mill convert imam, it seems.

This is a huge problem for Muslims. Some will declare that Saudi Arabia is secular and some will declare that they follow some parts of Islam, etc. Then you have the minority who say Saudi Arabia is following Islam completely.

There is never a true Islam or a true Sharia. This Imam for example can't make up his damn mind. Muslims can't make up their minds either.

"I believe literally in the Quran and Hadith" but then say, "I disagree with any violent passages in Islam"

Which is it? You have to choose. Indecisiveness gets people killed.

"If you don't like your religion's fundamentalists, then maybe there's something wrong with your religion's fundamentals."
"Demanding blind respect but not offering any respect in reciprocation is laughable."

Who in their right mind would claim Saudi is secular? Cheesy Do they even know the definition of the word "secular"? I will never stop being amazed by people's idiocy.

This non-muslim tells this Muslim idiot the truth and he's in denial. Short clip that's 1 minute long.

We deserve better than sexist and racist “teachers”: Honoring real leaders, and a rejoinder to Abu Eesa -

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

Surely such a thing cannot be done. Is yeezevee not immutable?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
