Ok here is one from pre-Islamic Arabia:
"Today is wine, tomorrow is work"
Meaning: Today we celebrate, tomorrow is another problem.
Historical context: This exists as a demonstration of traditional Arab hospitality. In context of the story, a man is drinking with his guest and then recieves the news that his father was killed by the father of his guest. When his friends encourage him to kill his guest as an act of revenge, the reply was given, "Today is wine and tomorrow I'll act".
