Hilarity aside, what do you make of this? Should we be striving to create similar parodies or are they of limited value in your mind?

May I refer you to the OP, in case you missed it a question has been posed in order to spark discussion on the usefulness of satirising religious symbols.

And for the OP question, yes we need more of these parodies. They are of great value! This should eventually break the "don't talk about islam/religion" taboo.

I think that once something is poked fun at enough times, it is hard to take it seriously anymore, and it becomes undermined. It's no longer something solemn and unquestionable, it just becomes ridiculous. Just imagine if Hipster Hitler would have been around before Hitler rose to power -- would have seriously undermined his character in the public eye.
