This bullshit irritates me. New testament or old, it's supposed to be the same god. If they want to believe in that god they have to take the OT into account. Not doing so is just plain dishonest.

As for "anything bad must be out of context", that just demonstrates their preconception that no matter how bad something is it must be good if it's in a "holy book". Meh.
