I noticed this facebook event a couple of days ago:
500,000 prayers for Pakistan's Victory against India in Semi Final
Time: Friday, March 25 at 1:30pm - March 31 at 10:00pm
Location: All around the world
100k+ people were scheduled there to 'pray' for Pakistan during the cricket match. Though obviously the real number of people praying is much higher, probably over 10-20 million..
They must have pretty strong blind faith to continue believing in a god after seeing that 20 million prayers had no effect... I see some comments like this there now:
"The team that plays better wins. Simple!. Next time, invest time in praying for bigger things from the Almighty, like safety of the oppressed Muslims all over the world...We should just enjoy the game and "hope and wish" our team wins!"
"You guys didnt pray hard enough. SMH" (some indian troll lol)
"lol. to fuckh with this kinda united nation
jin ko allah. nabi pak peace be upon him
quran hadees eik na kar sakay
woh pathetic game k liyay unite ho gayay
[trans: whom allah, holy prophet and quran and hadith couldn't unite, were united for a pathetic game like this]
to fuckh with such unity"
"18 crore logo ki dua kabol nahi hoyi....it means iss mein zaror Allah ki behtri thi..aur jub hum her jaga match jeetnay pay INSHALLAH likh rahay thay it means "agar ALLAH ki marzi hoi" ...to iss ka matlub nahi thi....HAR HAAL MEIN APNAY RAB KA SHUKAR ADDA KARO
[trans: 18 million people prayed and it wasn't accepted, that means there must be some benefit for us in it. And whenever we said 'inshallah' to winning a match it meant 'if allah willed it', that means allah didn't will it. IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE BE GRATEFUL TO YOUR GOD]"
